Excellent health club tucked away between two residential streets. Its a bit of a Tardis - they manage to squeeze in a good size fitness centre, exercise class rooms. decent size pool, squash court, 2 tennis courts, bar, restaurant, treatment clinic, crèche and adequate parking! A mixed clientele, but the majority are in the 30+ bracket and the place does have the air of a country health club. Which makes it ideal if you're looking for a club that's pretty laid back, where the gym isn't too busy (there's never a queue for equipment) and you're not intimidated by pumped up 20 somethings in a hurry. Plus you're not "cheek to cheek" (if you know what I mean :-)) in the changing rooms. They're refurbing the place at the moment, but all the facilities are modern and clean anyway. Oh, and children aren't allowed, except on Sundays & Wednesday afternoons (for kid-friendly go to its sister club "The Park Club" in Acton). I love it. Well recommended.
