Compliment

This restaurant has made it to the top of my list of favourite places in Paris. Not present in the guide books, located in an ancient "hôtel" where you can still find traces of the stables in the back, the athmosphere is special from the start. It certainly seemed to be a very french affair, where people come to relax and enjoy a great meal in a fantastic setting of a great appartment of the second half of the 17th century.
Cuisine is exceptional at least to my standards, a mixture of traditional more or less french dishes with an asian influence that is never arbitrary but really did bring out the best in the fantastic ingredients. My filet de boef did really benefit from some Korean spices. The wine was exceptional but that might have been because my company did know his way around the French wine list.
The deserts come from Pierre Hermé who - so I understood - is quite famous.
The prices would steep for Hamburg but absolutely fine for the quality of food and the feel of the place. I would love to know something of similar value in London.
