Review of Blasau from 17 June 2010

Nice bara brith, Welsh speckled bread with currents you can buy here if you do not bake it yourself.

A small shop; no-where to park my bike in front.

Good crisps, cheeses and Welsh cider. A good little place for food in Machynlleth.

I sometimes buy elderflower cordial here.

Review of Blasau from 26 September 2007

This is the place to go when you're after a taste sensation. It's the only deli in Machynlleth - if you want to be good then you go to the Quarry Shop, if you want to indulge your naughty side then head to Blasau. They stock local organic vegetables, organic spirits and wines and have a deli counter to die for. Wonderful pates, tasty local cheeses. My favourites are the pickled garlic and stuffed jalapeno peppers. On top of that Edward, the owner, is passionate about what he does and is more than willing to let you try before you buy.
