Park Plaza Nottingham

This is a run-down and strangely mismanaged hotel. It seems totally overstaffed, with somebody hanging around at every corner. Yet, basic essentials such as internet access are not part of the package and give rise to massively overpriced “extras”. This remains true even for a so-called “executive room” (which was relatively large, but still just in front of one of the main streets in Nottingham). I am no longer accepting expensive hotel rates in hotels where people think that such a basic thing such as internet access was an extra. This is like paying extra for the bed.

Went here just before Christmas and got a nice upgrade. Lovely hotel, nice rooms that are well equipped and comfortable! I do have one teeny bugbare… Queen sized beds that are actually two beds zipped together that haven’t been protected by a decent mattress topper makes for a rather uncomfortable night! Great location, but when I asked for coffee, got told that the coffee shop over the road was good. Bit surprised! All in all very nice and good value for money!

My partner took me here a couple of years ago and i loved it,the room was amazing,never seen such a big bed in my life!

I visited the Park Plaza earlier this year. There was quite a large group of us on a stag weekend and this was in a great location for easy access to the city centre (there is also an excellent indian restaurant directly opposite called Mem Saab).
Booking was very easy through their website and check-in was very fast and efficient. Due to the location, the hotel doesn’t have it’s own parking but you can get a discounted rate at the NCP car park which is just over the road.
The rooms were very clean and modern with a flat screen TV and all the usual facilities.
I woud definately visit the Park Plaza again as it offers very good value for money.
