This is a firm favourite of ours. When we lived in the area we would go regularly, now that we’re back in South Africa, it’s a bit harder. The ambience is great and the food is excellent value for money. Don’t go without trying the coconut rice!

The food is good and the service is great overall. The staff are really friendly, although we did have to wait about half an hour for the bill! Portions are a good size and there’s a nice raised area where you eat with your shoes off. There is also some outdoor seating but i would advise booking this as there’s not much space. Deffo worth a visit.

Watch out for this place, both my wife and myself got food poisoning after eating here on two separate occasions. We're old Brick Lane regulars so I don't think it is our stomachs!

Maybe it' s a coincidence, but it's a real shame. The staff, cocktails and decor is very nice. The price is also decent.

Maybe they are a victim on their own success? There were so many people there on both occasions, perhaps the standards in the kitchen are slipping. Either way, we're never going back and you should watch out too.

Lovely stylish surroundings, with outside seating area. Cocktails are served at the bar and there is a coctail lounge. Food is delicious with good sized portions. Great place for birthdays or other special occasions

A good Thai restaurant in swanky stylish surroundings.
Good selection of food and good wine list. Cocktails are expertly made.
Very polite and friendly staff.
Prices are mid-range. An overall winner.

The original yum yum has moved to fancier quarters on Stoke Newington High Street creating a grand dining experience. The food is still nice with a lot of meat and veggie options. The new restaurant has a raised shoe-free seating area for a different experience, a cocktail bar and stylish decor. The staff are friendly and the service is good.
