Ministry of Sound hasn't changed much in the 10 years since I last visited.
It's got a bit heavier on security and if you want to get drunk and dance a lot at great expense, it's still a pretty good place to go, but it's a victim of its own success in a way, as the type of people who you'll find there are probably not the sort of people you'd want to associate with if you weren't completely off your head.

Is it the only club that petty thief's seem to roam at will and help themselves to mobile phones and the like in full view (who are too scared to take action) of people and the police do not follow up or attend unannounced from time to time to show they care about ordinary citizens? I shall be dropping a line to my M.P. in the hope he will involve himself where the police fail to.

Hi Twill. I am very sorry that you had a bad experience in our club. However, petty theives roam the whole of London and we do our utmost to protect our customers. We have a secure cloakroom in our venue and offer many options for those who have lost or had their belongings stolen. This is to ensure our customers are not abandoned with no form of contact or way of getting home. Also, our high level of security roam the rooms of our venue to ensure that noone is at danger.
Again, i apologise for your bad experience but i hope you can return to Ministry Of Sound another night.
We appreciate any feedback, Negative or positive, so please do not hesitate to contact me on terri-leigh@ministryofsound.com
Tool Room knights is the best night going.
Quite touristy but everytime i have been it has been a good night.
Friendly clubbers, close to tube and not a place which is swamped in drugs which is great. Security is very tight which is good but drinks are quite expensive.

Ok, yes the club is cheesy and full of tourist, HOWEVER, my girlfriend and I never get any hassle here from culbbers / stranger - basically its a pretty accomodating place to have a good time without drugs being thrown in your face.

I went to Ministry on what they call "Milkshake" night, which is the student night every Tuesday. It's taken weeks just to get to this place (my friends aren't very good at getting outside the kitchen after they've had a few to drink :P), but finally this week we arrived. We got there after half 11 I believe and the queues were long, especially for guys. However for such a popular place, it didn't take too long to get through. It was a mere £6 for students to get in, and the drink prices were very affordable, at £2.50 for a beer and £3.50 for double vodka mixer. The actual venue in my opinion was quite cool and fun. I think only 2 rooms were open that night, which was sad as I really wanted to be able to go to the above floor.
I didn't absolutely love the music. It was quite commercial, which at some points was at my taste. However, most of the music was just too much techno or remixed versions of the commercial music, which is not my thing really.
I would like to come again on a different day to see if the music is better at other times. That's really the thing that made it not so great to me, so it'd be nice if they varied it a bit.

Ministry is different for everyone because they dont stick to one muic genre. I love thier hip hop nights and hands down i have had my best nights there... to put it in perspective i have seen puffy, fat joe, david banner, jazzy jeff, westwood, baby cham, jay z and loads more acts. Admittedly they have reduced thier hip hop night due to trouble but even if its once a year it will prob be your best night out. But do look at the night on before you go as you may find yourself out of place if its not 'your' type night.

MoS is a well established large London Club and enjoys high profile DJs and theme nights, but it's also very student friendly with lots of student nights with discounted entry.
Prestige of the music and DJs varies with ticket price - Friday and Saturday nights are the bigger nights. Drinks prices for non-student nights are a lot, as is to be expected, but the atmosphere is great and the outside area can be very social which is realy nice.
There are about 3 different 'rooms' with different music, and it's good for a full-on night out if you want to party till the early hours.

I've been to MoS plenty, to see big name and small name DJs. It is a great club, big, good sound, popular, gets all the big names etc. But personally I think it's starting to lose it's touch a little. The big names do always sell out, even with a ticket you'll be hard pushed to get in between 11-12.30 (it's when everyone wants to arrive after the pubs are shut but the tubes are still running). The bars are expensive, but there is a water dispenser if all your drinking is H2o. The toilets are clean enough given the large number of people.
I just think it's becoming the Convent Garden of the club world, full of tourists and pretty generic nights out. Still would go if all my mates were going - just not sure I'd suggest it if I was organising a big noght out.
