A nice little pub, recently refurbished, with a loyal clientele, serving a couple of real-ales which are normally decently kept. It also has a small outside (rear) drinking area which also serves the smokers.
Friendly staff, and it has a pub quiz during the winter months (though we’ve never won). They usually have a fiendish music round, so bring along someone who’s knowledgeable about 1960s and 1970s music…

The clientele are a mainly local crowd, but it's close to the railway station so also gets communters on their way from work. It serves Harvey's Sussex Bitter (nice) and a guest ale. Staff are friendly and topped up my pints without asking. They do a general knowledge quiz every other Sunday.
