I don’t really like giving negative reviews, and so far I managed avoiding them by usually having the luck to pick nice places to go to, but the time when I ventured into Zoo Bar … left me wishing I paid more attention …. Why I ended up there? would be a good question. I’d answer that it was central, in Leicester Square -crammed with bars and clubs to try out. So me and my friends thought why not give it a trial. Some people on the street even recommended it. Also the doormen were encouriging us saying we won’t be disappointed. Well, they were wrong! I mean for a night, as an accident, it’s bearable. But wouldn’t return any time soon.
The place itself doen’t look bad, the decor seems to fill up the gaps other not so pleasant things leave us in mind. And there seems to be enough space as well, yet, as I read in other reviews it is usually crowded with people. At the time I’ve been there the upper floor was quite empty, winds were blowing …
Downstairs was crowded, yes, but somehow I felt I didn’t belong to that place. And the poll, the people, the music … I felt like I was teleported back to my teenage years, except that back then everything was new and exciting. This time it just felt extremely boring. If I hadn’t been there with people dear to me I would’ve left sooner.

Brilliant place to go for a wild night out. Remember to arrive early and to seem to be convinced by the guys outside, not only are they paid to convince you but they also always have vouchers for free shots and sometimes random promotions thats are always good to take.
There are 3 dancefloors and an amazing range of different musics, enough to suit everybody’s taste!
Also a lot of different alcohols, from the normal beer to the odd shot which you spens the rest of your night trying to analyse and some good wines.
Definately a favourite venue of mine for a good party with the girls!
Oh, and check out the amount of smirting outside!

This place is really lively I never realised when i went inside that there are about 4/5 different areas where you can go and have a dance about. The security is tight so you feel safe, theres different sort of music for different age groups..i did end up dancing with everyone i would say lively and friendly. But one thing i didnt like was the amount of time it did to get a drink, the bar is slow and no one can hear what you order, and the general staff are rude if you intrude into a v.i.p area by mistake…they are ready to kick you out!
but entertainment wise its live and secure so I’m recommending it!

I have heard many good things about zoo bar. However, i found it to be a little too crowded, full of tourists and people who looked like they were about 12. The music is quite tacky and cheesy, although after a few drinks it can be quite enjoyable. I cant say that it was a bad experience, just not one of my best nights, complete lack of excitement or originality

This bar is great if you go after work or decide to go on a Saturday night! It suits any occasion. The bar downstairs is situated in the centre, making it very accessible. There is also a poll to dance on if you're feeling adventurous!

Zoo bar is situated in lively leicester square which makes for a good venue. The main problem with the place is that it's to cramped. People are on top of eachother which makes for an uncomfortable night. the music is good if you like rnb otherwise you have no choice but to like it! They have good deals on drinks most nights and it can be good fun given the right atmosphere.

I see everyone so far has given Zoo Bar 2 stars and with good reason! I've only been here a few times, but every time it's been packed to the rafters and takes forever to get a drink. Also, if you like RnB then you might like the music, otherwise it's going to be a few hours of hell for you! Loud, crammed, no thank you.

I have been there few times but not planning to go anymore. The place is nice, spacious, decor is spectacular, the music is great. The only problem is the crowd, a lot of tourists who try to force you to dance and get in a conversation with them.

I was told Zoo bar was quite a 'zoo'. That there was always fights and pouncing bouncers, too many people crammed inside despite it being quite a large place. From being here a few times now, I can agree and disagree. As it's in Leicester square, there are always foreigners and tourists as well as lots of poor students which makes for a mixed crowd. This can either be great fun, or quite a nightmare. The venue itself is large with an upstairs bar, and three sections of the nightclub downstairs. There is plenty of seating, some well placed mirrors, an r'n'b room and poles on the bars which attract the most drunken women (and men) of the night. The downstairs bar has some pretty lighting, but it does get very crowded. I enjoy the music and variety of people, but it is sometimes too hectic to really let loose.

Can’t believe I haven’t done a review on this place sooner! I have been here a 100 times; I have good and bad times at this nightclub and trust me you get all sorts of people. I can always remember the build up of going as I tried on so many outfits (actually my whole wardrobe was laying on my bed) and I can remember being so nervous at only 17. It was the first London nightclub I had ever been to and my friend knew just the place for my first experience. I loved every second; the music was my style however it was the only type of music zoo bar plays I believe which could be a negative thing for some people. Also it is quite crammed and everybody is literally on top of one another. Also I have to say it is a place where everybody is out to pull and this I do find a little tacky but if you want a good old dance to R n B then I suggest you give it ago!
