I’ve seen two productions at this theatre and this included a Japanese Kabuki play and Beijng Opera production, which were both very good. If the play is performed in a foreign language, they always provide a large screen with English subtitles or headphones with English translations. However be warned, you have to pay for these at £5 per headphone. The décor is very contemporary and to the bestest quality much like its customer service. Also during intervals ice cream and alcohol are available, which is to be expected at any sublime theatre. Sadler’s Wells work with various performing art productions, on an international scale, so their shows are always varied and sure to cater for all interests. They typically advertise their events in the London underground as well as their website, so make sure you check it out regularly to ensure that you’re not missing a show that might tickle your fancy. Also confirm your booking at least a month in advance as Sadler’s Wells’ shows are very popular and sell out fast.

I travelled here from High Wycombe to see Edward Scissor hands and it was worth the travel. The lighting and atmosphere even on our student priced restricted view tickets was amazing. Everything was clear to see even in our seats, although anyone with vertigo may have to fork out for better tickets. I loved the performance and the special effects were great. I'm keeping my eye on up and coming events, as they do a wide range of dance productions too.

Sadler's Wells is London's premier dance venue hosting a series of ballets, contemporary and modern dance performances and sometimes opera. Tickets are not extravagantly expensive and there are various discounts available (students, OAPs etc); standbys are sold from an hour before at the box office.
Seats are comfortable although the hall tends to become overheated and it's not an especially beautiful setting. The crowd is eclectic: seasoned theatre goers, ballet-besotted teenage girls and there's a large gay scene. Come in a suit or in jeans and a shirt: it's a welcoming venue and the bar on the ground floor is popular despite extortionately priced drinks.

I've only been here once before but it's a really great Theatre.
the only downside is the bar. The bar staff were quite slow and drinks are expensive.
The crowd is very much upper class.
I would recommend getting a good seat as the seats we had were in the stalls and we couldnt see the top bit of the stage. So book in advance.

This is a fantastic theatre and has some incrediable performance. i have seen many classical and contemporary performance here and the shows and theatre itself never fails to impressive.
If you what to see a classical ballet and a moderen contemporary performance this is definately one of the best venues to London to do so.
