If you want French and authentic, then this is the place to go. It is unusual in the sense that it is obscurely located and not very well known, but those who have heard of it are avid fans and regular diners. Run by a French couple for over 15years it even closes on a Monday (for those of you who are aware of French customs this immediately screams genuine French authenticity!) The food itself is mainly seafood but it does cater for vegetarians and the odd carnivor. Although a little pricey it is well worth a trip on a special occasion. Try the 8 course suprise menu for a 'true' seafood experience (£43.50 with lobster, £39.50 without) one of the most expensive things on the menu, but is a definate hit for those who love their fish as the selection is truely amazing. The restaurant itself is quaint and very French, with its sloping floors and harbour style decor it only seats 45 and so is very intimate, meaning brilliant service. A must try experience.
