If you are into top quality spirits or cocktail making then this is the shop for you. They have a fantastic selection of rum, gin, vodka, bourbon etc and it’s like being a kid in a candy store browsing the shelves. The owner (Mark) is a joy to chat to and is extremely knowledgeable and happy to help.
You can buy everything you need in one place for making your favourite cocktail at home, including the barware and glassware. They also do kits that make perfect gifts for all your cocktail-loving friends and family - fantastic!

At last, a one-stop-shop for cocktail lovers in Edinburgh. You’ll find this charming shop in central Edinburgh on bohemian Broughton Street, where its eye-catching paintwork catches your eye and pulls you in. Once inside, you’ll be almost overwhelmed by the sheer range of bottles, glasses, cocktail-making paraphernalia artfully arranged around you. But don’t panic, because whether you’re a novice or a connoiseur, Mark will be there to offer helpful advice and suggestions. A great little shop, it’s already broadened my taste in spirits.

An exceptional and astonishing new addition to the community of Broughton Street, Edinburgh. The range of different drinks on offer are initially daunting but the owner is knowledgeable, friendly and engaging - clearly enthusiastic and patient with the uninitiated…such as me. A visit will be worthwhile, fun, educational and inexpensive. I have a feeling this will become an Edinburgh institution.
Definitely worth a visit before it becomes famous!

At last a shop that Edinburgh has been needing for a long time. It’s a refreshing surprise to find everything you need for cocktail making in one place together with a friendly owner who can help with anything from a dinner party tipple to a unique birthday gift (a perfect present for someone who has everything and one I would highly recommend).
The free tastings are a must because you will never know what you might like - for once a mailing list that is worth being on. Definitely a shop to check out if you’re tired of the same old drinks.

This is a lovely wee shop with a great range of stock. Plenty of well known brand names but it’s the unusual labels and bottles that will grab your attention. Try the 60% Blackwoods Gin - sounds wicked but tastes amazing.

I always go to the Cocktail Emporium when I need some helpful, friendly advice on ingredients for cocktails etc. I have always found the owner, Mark, very friendly and willing to help. The spirit tastings held most Saturdays are a great way for people to taste spirits they haven’t tried before with no obligation to buy.
