Great Persian restaurant on bedford hill in the heart of balham, boasting a fab selection of delicious fresh food, and a cool funky modern atmosphere inside.

I had some gorgeous moist falafel, followed by a knock-em-out shish kebab, lamb cubes beautifully marinated and grilled, with a drink only came to around 15 quid. And I was seriously boring in my choices, there is an extraordinary range of delicious sounding dishes - from esfenaj (spinach and chick peas), to kouluche (feta in filo). This is top quality nosh, and well worth trying for a change from pizza or pub grub.

Dish Dash is a great Lebanese restaurant with a branch in Chelsea and one in Balham. The décor is simple sophisticated and not really themed in any way. My date and I went to the Balham branch. I love the idea of tapes style food and Lebanese seems to lend itself particularly well to this style of eating. Our friendly Aussie waitress steered us through the menu knowledgably and we ordered a selection of dishes - char grilled kebabs, tomato and herb salad, cous cous, aubergine dip, flatbread with lamb and of course the obligatory hummus ! There wasn’t a dish that let us down, they were all scrumptious and worked well together - and they were all empty and the end of our meal! For dessert we had a rather un-Lebanese but nonetheless delicious chocolate fondue! Would definitely come here again.

I ate at Dish Dash for my last birthday, and I thought it was great! The food was delicious, there is a tapas-style menu as well as the option of a more substantial meal. We went for the smaller dishes to share, so we got to try quite a few dishes and they were all really tasty. There aren't too many restaurants around here with the same style of food, so it was nice to have something a bit different.

There is also a great selection of cocktails, and the wait staff were really attentive. The restaurant isn't too big, so there is a nice atmosphere.

The only downside is that I thought some of the food was a bit expensive (for the size of the dishes), but I'll definately be going again.
