The Steinheil is a rustic but cozy place and a long-time favourite for students from the nearby university. It is famous for it’s large and good Schnitzel but also offers a variety of decent food.

Prices are moderate and it’s always crowded, so if you plan to eat with more than 2 people make sure you reserve a table by phone beforehand.

If you are a visitor to Munich and want to check out a genuine local “Wirtschaft”, forget the Hofbräuhaus, come here. The beer is just as good. :-)

If u where drinking and party the day before this is the best place to go to kill this hunger after drinking :)
The schnitzel are really good and big, the prices are good also.

If you hungry and don´t want to go to Subway or Mc Donalds, got to “Steinheil” Restaurant. The food is great and not so expensive. They have a standard menu and also a weekly menu with fresh salats and great variety of meat, sometimes fish and desserts. The prizes are not so high and the service is fast. I recommend the Schnitzel, as it the protion is big incl. a salat and potatoes.
