Review of Waterstone's from 4 November 2009

Very nice branch of Waterstones. The staff are nice and very helpful, and the shop is very well laid out. The arts section could be a little larger, and they need to get in more books on graphic design and comics, but it's a favourite haunt of mine and a welcome oasis of calm in the midst of Ealing Broadway...

Review of Waterstone's from 19 November 2008

It’s a nice store but the books I want are always down the stairs because I’m usually looking for reference or language books. If I’m feeling lethargic then the thought of the stairs puts me off, if it was all on one floor then I’d go in more often. I find that if I go in looking for a specific book then I rarely seem to find it, but I often chance upon suitable books while browsing. I can spend a long time in there just browsing. It has a rather old fashioned, unhurried ambience and it’s quite cluttered which I like, with greeting card racks and suchlike poking out between the book shelves.

Review of Waterstone's from 23 July 2008

This is my favourite branch of Waterstone’s, as everything is neatly laid out, and is almost in alphabetical order - in the bigger branches, they just don’t seem to bother. Yes, I know that sounds weird, but I tend to look for books via author surnames, so if things aren’t in alphabetical order, I won’t be able to find what I’m looking for.
This branch is small and cosy and has the classic Waterstone’s chairs to relax in and read books (obviously, they expect you to buy them after you’ve finished going through them).
I’m also quite shy outdoors and don’t like asking for things, but the staff here are very helpful and if they think my book choices are weird, they don’t show it. If the book I want isn’t in stock, they’ll always help me order a copy. Waterstone’s also offer a loyalty card, which is handy, considering the amount of books I buy…

Review of Waterstone's from 23 January 2008

Out of every bookstores, Waterstones looks like the most complete to me. You can find ALL kind of books. The other reason why I love Waterstones is because of the atmosphere. Indeed, there is something about the store layout that will appeal to all book lovers: it reminds me of a traditional library. As far as the Ealing Broadway Centre branch is concerned, I appreciate its lower ground floor where I can spend a whole afternoon looking for the next novel to bring home.

Review of Waterstone's from 7 January 2008

As a lover of books, I am also a lover of this chain of well-equipped bookstores. A great lover, and for very obvious reasons. For starters, as I said, this bookstore is well-equipped. It has a very large selection of books of any genre, and on any subject.
As is the case with all good bookstores, I can spend hours and hours just going through the range of books, reading on the covers, perhaps searching for a specific title, before choosing a few to bring home to my ever-expanding collection.
One more thing worth knowing about this lovely bookshop, and about all other Waterstones bookstores for that matter, is that you can get a card that works pretty much in the same way as a Nectar Card from Sainsburys, only, with this Waterstones Card, you collect points every time you purchase a book. Eventually these points will have reached so high a number that you will get a book for free.

Review of Waterstone's from 25 November 2007

This branch of waterstones is my favourite. I buy most of my books here. I just like the layout of this store and the ataff are very friendly and try to help always. It is a cosy place to be. I can spend a lot of time in here just looking for the perfect book to read for a lazy afternoon. I normally go straight to the crime section and sometimes fiction depending on where my favourite authors are.

If you are a book lover..you should also become a waterstones lover! That is where I got my Harry Potters from! Not to mention a wide wide range of other books such as animal farm (George Orwell ranges) to Birdsong (Sabastian fawkes!) There is all genres available in this bookstore from cookery books to diy books to fiction - novels, also childrens and lots more! There are comfy chairs to snuggle up for a lazy read and the atmosphere is just cosy all around. Customer service is usually friendly and knowlegdable!
