Small and very overcrowded on weekends, but decent commercial-driven music and plenty of seating for people-watching.

LOVE LULU!
Especially on a Tuesday they have a night called Dirty sexy it is ace! Not full of those posh w anks as you might think, a lot of customers are here on a Tuesday who work at weekends like myself and so can’t go out on the usual Friday & Saturday (and quite frankly, who would want to?!)
A younger crowd, music is a mix of chart and dance, drinks deals are great £2 tops for a shot and mixer most of the time.
Very rarely it is very very very busy that you can’t move, most of the time it is busy every week however, but not uncomfortable.
Give it a go on a Tuesday…brilliant!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this venue…!!
The only club I drink in…. great atmosphere with somewhere to it down and chill out with friends and the secluded dance floor where you can get up with mates and dance on your own at the start of the night without being stared at by the whole club…. plus one massive bonus is the doorstaff…fun friendly and not a gorilla in sight!!!
Awesome tuesday night out at DIRTY SEXY possibly the best night out in Edinburgh

If you have the luck to get past the neanderthals on the door then it probably deserves 4*...
...However if you're a man then don't hold your breath and certainly don't expect to get in unless you're in a mixed group. Frankly, please don't go - it's time the door staff learnt their lesson!

Churned out by the club generator that is Montpeliers Lulu is what you have come to expect form the likes of The Opal Lounge. The usual Edinburgh crowd of posh Londoners and private school princesses flock here to be pretty and be seen.
Now to put that aside it is a great space, good layout and speedy service. It will all rely on you can putting your blinkers on to the rest of the people there and getting on with having fun with your mates.

Lulu is one of George Street's most popular clubs, and is exemplary of the George Street ethic. Expect all of the women to be immaculately preened, and the men too. This is where the upper-middle-classes come to pull on a Saturday night, to dance vertically on an overcrowded dancefloor to whatever chart hits the DJ has been playing for the past three months.
Expect to be groped and never find the drunken lech that did it.

Hmm, I strongly suspect LuLu have been getting staff to post reviews here!
I thought LuLu was terrible. The DJ was awful. He was playing Dolly Parton and I was crammed like a sardine into a complete hole of a nightclub. The dance floor is tiny and you’ll spend most of the night queueing; thats if you can get passed the out-right rude staff at the door.
The place is totally overpriced for what it is. Merely a wall-papered YMCA disco. Ignore the claims on their website; LuLu has the sophistication of a rat with a golden tooth hiding in the gutters of George Street.
Walk straight past and enjoy the REAL clubs in the city

I took a while to be persuaded to visit Lulu, thinking it might be a bit pretentious, but I was proved wrong on a recent night out! While it is still “a place to be seen” it’s far more relaxed than I had anticipated. Prices are typical of the Edinburgh club scene and the decor has enough sparkle to keep any girl happy! There’s a surprising amount of seating for a George Street club and fairly quick service at the bar, but the best thing by far about Lulu is the DANCEFLOOR!! As the other reviews say, it’s lit up like the Saturday Night Fever dancefloor and provides the perfect setting for a spot of boogie-ing! The music varies but at least on Saturday nights is usually a decent mix of hip hop, rnb and dance remixes.

Lulu's is one of the places to be seen; a happening, new addition to Edinburgh's increasingly trendy nightlife.
Lulu's has a variety of club nights, each offering drinks promos and, for an establishment on the overtly apulent George Street, it's very reasonably priced.
It's colourful and stylish decor creates an awesome vibe and with some great music, and fashionably punters, Lulu's a really cool place to go for a dance.

LuLu is a great night out. Still the newest club in Edinburgh so it's always busy and happening. The drinks menu is varied and fairly reasonable. The best thing about the club though is its layout and design. There are loads of nooks and crannies to sit and enjoy a drink in and a cool fireplace opposite the bar which is long enough to accomodate loads of people.
LuLu's best asset is the dance floor, it is just like the one out of Saturday Night Fever! Amazing to dance on but a tad small.
