I discovered Potterton's by accident. That is I must have passed it a dozen times, walking at high speed to reach the big bookstores in town.
One day passing, I happened to look at the books in the window display.
There was a heart beat pulsing in every book, a discerning passionate lover of books had to own this place.
Not only that I discovered when |I visited their website was there that real passion for books, but beautifully judged writing accompanied the illustrations of the books themselves.
Books you'd buy to keep for a lifetime.
That is Potterton's then, a rare pleasurable experience, and then the really beautiful and useful books.
