5 reviews of BHS (British Home Stores) in English
That’s right folks… i was shopping in BHS at the weekend and i’m not afraid to say it! It was my first trip here for quite some time (20 years?). I’m pretty sure the last time i was here was to buy school uniform with my mum!
Anyway, BHS hasn’t really changed in the last 2 decades. Products are still cheap, quality is still questionable and staff are still zombies. Word of advice if you are in the Oxford street branch - don’t go upstairs. It’s a complete maze and it took us about 15 minutes to find the exit!
BHS offers ranges of homeswear, womenswear, menswear and childrenswear. There is also a large range of gifts available at Christmas and I generally find them to be really nice and of a good quality, and there is generally 20% off days at several different points in the year. The childrenswear is particularly good with bhs having taken over etam several years ago and Tammy girl is a particularly popular range. The oxford street branch also has a very large range of items in their wedding collection, and having personally worn the bridesmaid dress I can definitely recommend it. Overall I would recommend bhs to any friends that are on a budget, although if you could afford a larger budget I would recommend Debenhams. Overall I would give the store 8 out of ten!
i thought it as really god as i cant use escalators a member of staff showed us where stairs and lifts were.
BHS has something for everyone of any age from clothes to underwears to home furnishings
In addition it has a cafe, toilets and a foreign exchange counter.
The clothing for children expands to suits for buys as well as shoes.
They have a WEDDING range as well.
Escalators as well as lifts for assess to the first floor
Also very modern, on the ground floor you can grab a sandwich, a drink & candy.
I think that BHS flagship store in Oxford Street is a good place to shop if you have a lot of friends or relatives for whom you have to buy gifts for and don't want to spend a lot of money on them.
Its image has been revamped and over the last few years I notice
as I pass through it often that they are always making more improvements. Prior to its downsizing because of losses it used to to be the second in line to MARKS&SPENCER, Woolworths being the cheapest.
There is huge variety of inexpensive womenswear ranging from tailored suits, jumpers, cardigans, coats to casual wear like jeans,beach-wear,cosmetics and jewellery.
They also have a more intimately designed bedroom and kitchen dpartment if your are looking for an unusual duvet covers, pillowcases, towels etc
