Hamilton's was a nice relaxing venue for a Saturday afternoon bite to eat. It was quiet but the place still had a nice buzz about it helped by the open kitchen which put the chef in full view of the bar.

I had a cheese and chutney sandwich and, despite the chutney hinting at being generic spicy goop from a large catering supplier, it was alright. I also have an inkling that the cheese is from IJ Mellis, a good sign. The menu is extensive, which can be a worry but with sources like The Store and IJ Mellis, the quality is there.

Coffee was very good with a nice deep brown crema on my espresso and a well made latte from their lovely retro-styled Elektra espresso machine. Very nice!

I've been here before for dinner and it was very good. Presented with care and very tasty from what I can remember.

They have live music advertised on Sunday nights but never having been I have no idea what this will be like. If the vibe of the place is anything to go by it'll be an acoustic setup and probably nothing too raucous.

Prices are in line with other bar-restaurants in the area and they have a large range of gluten free options.

Admittedly, I have only frequented this trendy bar on Thursdays for their popular pub quiz, but it’s always been a super fun time. The questions are fair and on various subjects (good for me, as I’m rubbish with sports trivia), and the crowd is lively. Service is prompt and friendly, and the food offerings are very tasty—even the bar menu reads more like food found in a bistro.

Prices are good, with a great beer selection. Two thumbs up!

A really good place to go if you are in this part of town, which weirdly doesn't have an enormous choice of eateries. Nice to go with friends for lunch, you can meet and have a drink in the bar before going next door to the raised area where they will serve you. The wine list is worth pondering over, and the staff are hpy to help you choose, depending on what you are eating...
