Fabulous pool and have never found it too busy to have a relaxing swim. Lovely atmosphere and the staff are friendly and helpful. Their aquafit classes are particularly enjoyable and are so popular they have had to put more classes on their timetable. Gym is fabulous too.

The Warrender Park baths are great. The natural light that streams through the glass roof really does lift the spirits. Going for a swim on a cold crisp sunny winters day is a real boost.

It's a small pool but I've never been bothered by it being too busy.

It has lost a star in my book since it started charging separately for the sauna but it's still very reasonable.

£3.50 for an adult swim and sauna. Discounts are available with the Edinburgh leisure card.

I love the glass roof over this pool - I can't stress enough what a glorious difference this makes from the bigger, yet much darker, pools such as the Commonwealth. Swimming in sunshine! Heavenly! And also very vintage-feeling: the whole place still has that quaint Victorian feel about it. What a great place!

Little has changed from the times these Victorian baths were constructed, and the layout is therefore unusual for those of us who expect swimming pools to have flumes and chutes and at least male and female showers. The changing rooms are little cabins situated around the poolside, and it really is a charming place for a swim. Part of the roof is made of glass, so on a sunny day with the light is glancing off the water it is truly magical, and when swimming underwater through the sunrays you can forget that you’re even indoors. A sauna is included in the amazingly reasonable price, and mum’s waiting for their kids can even pop to the gym.
