This is a nice little neighbourhood pub in South Ken. It's always really, really busy in here. If you plan to eat, make sure you reserve a table! Always a good selection on the menu and lots of beers on tap.

I was a bit annoyed with quality of service at the weekend. As we hadn't booked a table is what unacceptable to stand within 8 metres of any diners. I felt a bit like a second class citizen. Both the landlord and land lady were rude to us. Amazing how such a nice pub can be ruined by the people that run it. Maybe i'm over reacting, but if i pay £3.50 for a pint of lager, i expect it to be served with a smile. Not much to ask, surely?

A great little pub just round the corner from Imperial College and the South Ken museums. Slightly hidden in the mews, you won't stumble across it unless you know, which means the crowd is locals, lecturers, and students. There used to be a really great boutique car garage across the road that had a McLaren F1, and other such racing gems from the ages, but it's closed now, which makes standing outside not quite as fun. I like the trad curved corner entrance and interior generally. Food good and beer well kept, a gem.

A very fine establishment, hidden away in a little street just around the corner from the Royal Albert Hall (apparently musicians often come here after a concert). Small and cosy, with chandeliers and wooden flooring. We sat down inside to have some food (their Sunday roast was very tasty), but otherwise drinking outside in that lovely little street seemed like an excellent option. Adnams bitter and Old speckled hen on tap.
