A really great musical, which took itself from the wizard of Oz story, a real treat for all the family.
Be careful when choosing your seats, i was sat up in the circle whichwere quite expensive seats and we felt like were miles away from the stage.
If you can buy stalls seats,do becuae the experience will be much better for you.
But a really great show allround, we waited at stage door and got loads of autographs as well.
Watch and be amazed.

well this musical title really says it all….WICKED!...and it truely is!...the cast are great, the talent is endless and the set is really clever too!....if i had to fault anything it would be that the seats at the very back can not see a thing becasue of the size of the theatre… so i would advise that you paid a little bit more to get a seat closer to the stage..!

I think I may be in a minority of 1 here but I really hated the show. I had to take clients here and I am still missing those 3 hours of my life which I will never get back!
I’m sure if I’d have watched this when I was 12 I would have enjoyed it but as an adult watching I found it excruciating & was counting the minutes until the end. The story was quite predictable, the characters quite annoying & some of the voices grating.. I found myself rolling my eyes at some of the dialogue & thought that whoever was writing the script could have done alot better.
Each to their own, I guess!

This my favourite musical of all time and is what really got me interested in the theatre. The songs, acting, costumes and special effects are all world-class and i would recommend this musical to all! Kerry Ellis and Dianne Pilkington have a great chemistry which makes the story all the more spellbinding and magical…
If you have to opportunity to queue up for ‘day tickets’/front row seats be sure to get there WELL BEFORE 10am as the queue can often be down the street by 7am or even earlier! The front row seats are a super bargain at only £25 each and of course, the view is spectacular :D

Amazing for the kids and a good light hearted story but a bit predictable. I would highly reconmend it for taking the kids to but not really for grown ups. Great special effects.

I so want to see this, heard nothing but good things about it. However my aunt went to see this recently and didn’t quite get the storyline, think it’s a bit too new, you really need a more open mind to really enjoy it.
Gotta get tickets,

This is just such a good show! The music is fantastic and the storyline very cleverly interwoven with the original Wizard of Oz story. the final song sung by the 2 witches is absolutely beautiful (It may well be that we will never meet again) and Defying Gravity is just superb. Do go if you get the chance…it is really good.

A brand-new musical always makes me nervous but Wicked was wonderful!
The enchanting story of the green with from the Wizard of Oz with regular appearances of the Wizard of Oz characters gave one a fresh view of this old favourite. An outstanding lead vocal performance carried the flag for what was a good cast with loads of talent in the acting and singing department.
The stage work was beautifully done with excellent use of lighting to create effects that underlined the story and were quick and silent in execution.
Although I was sitting in the nose-bleed seats, the view was good and the production seemed aware of the need to play for the entire audience.
Due to the nature of the play there were lots of families and children, which made the theatre a little rowdy, even for a musical. This could be overlooked though because as the lights went down you were sucked into a magical world.
Even though it is still playing out of the Apollo Victoria Theatre, it is definitely worth going to watch. When it takes a step up in the world as it inevitably will, the prices will rocket.
