What a hystical assumption! Vivienne lives opposite and is definitely not the owner. Hahahahaha. I can't wait to tell the landlord this!

The Prince Of Wales Clapham Old Town.
The following review is taken from Douglas & Gordons Bridge Magazine.
On Sunday nurse a hangover with the areas best Bloody Mary made by bar manager Tracie Harrison at The Prince Of Wales (38 Clapham Old Town) from 1pm onwards.
It's wacky decor of tube signs, stuffed moose heads and old wheel barrows is locally renowned, dog friendly.

This is a lovely looking pub, with a couple of beers. It is a shame that their choice tends to be Sambrooks as I feel their beers have gone downhill over time. Thus went for a bottle of Wyld Wood cider, which was pretty nice.
Was slightly shaken by the sight in the mirror of a man approaching me from behind in the urinals while undoing his zipper. He claimed short sightedness but I think a large measure of drunkeness may also have been involved.
You can order in pizza from a local takeaway.
If anyone saw the excellent recent documentary about 80s comedy, presented by Ben Elton, this is where Ben and Rik Mayall chatted over tea.
POW POW POW!

We happened upon this mad little pub on a golf theme pub crawl. By the time we got there we were already half way to the realm of true bladderness. The bar maid made us all very welcome in spite of a few of our caddies looking a bit worse for ware and one of our lads being dresses in a rather large golf buggy outfit. I think we quite matched the eccentric decor and other patrons who looked a bit like a throw back to the rocking punk days of the 1980s. All in all a friendly stop off for a pub crawl.

The Prince of Wales is a local gem. A truly local pub in an area where that is rare. Great bloody mary's for the day after the night before and a good selection of local ales. The staff are fantastic and the decor is quirky and cool. A new four legged addition to the staff who is very much the cutest is Shaggy :-)

A great local.
The decor will keep conversation rolling (personally, I like sitting under the bison's head), the ales are tasty, the wine is cheap, you can get pizza delivered directly to your table, cashback and card payments available on demand and the New Years party's free.
The Thursday night quiz is good fun and has the excellent prize of, um, cheap lager. Always packed so arrive early.
Cracking.

It is owned by Vivienne Westwood hence it's eccentricity!

Clapham can have a rather ‘office worker on a binge’ atmosphere but the Prince of Wales pub in Clapham Old town is one of those nice exceptions. When you walk in you’re immediately struck by all the eccentric junk hanging from the ceiling – as if a props department exploded . Great stuff!

Vivienne Westwood owns the pub hence the eccentricity.

Really? Wow I had no idea! It's such a great place visually - this does really explain it.

Its not true! It is owned and run by Alex, who although eccentric is definitely not Vivienne!

I was surprised - as it indeed seems like a properly 'locally owned' pub

Vivenne does use the Pub and her husband is a regular.
Quirky, fun, atmospheric, a jumble of weird and wonderful things adorning the walls and ceiling, great staff to have a laugh with and drinkers from all corners - regulars include superstars Beki and Lumpy - fantastic atmosphere to see NY in - free hats and blowers and streamers and loads of noise and chaotic jollifications - fantastic spot - excellent 6 stars.

A small, but very agreeable little pub. I love the decor (particularly the giant spiderman on the roof!). 3 local ales on tap - Timothy Taylor, Greene King IPA and Harvey’s if my memory serves me correctly. Plenty of outdoor seating (about 4 picnic tables) in one of the nicest bits of clapham.
The Prince of Wales is a great pub for a swift half after work or a good starting point for a big night out. If you do start here, i’d recommend the following crawl:
Prince of wales -> The Sun -> The Frog and forget-me-not -> The Windmill.

This pub’s main selling point is definitely the amazing decor. The walls and ceiling are plastered with stuffed animals, signs and models, so even if the company you’re with isn’t interesting, you will have something to occupy your attention. It is not big, but you can get a table as long as you show up reasonably early. The beer’s nothing special, but the staff are nice; you can order pizza which is supplied by a nearby restaurant.

Weird, quirky little pub. I like this place a lot - full of odd statues and bric-a-brac everywhere. Should definitely be part of any Clapham pubcrawl.

It is nice to see this pub get a little recognition, as its a cool boozer. I always feel at home here and enjoy the quirkiness of the items decorating the interior of the pub. It has a lot more character and uniqueness than most in this part of Clapham, and attracts a decent type of punter as a result.

A small but very friendly pub, so many items hanging from the ceiling and things around that you see new things every time you go.
The staff are very friendly and it does have a student atmosphere but it does have many locals aswell.
A great place to go for a night out in Clapham.
