Talented chef, Michael Wichmann, is making a mark for himself by sourcing the best possible ingredients and allowing sound cooking and simplicity to take its course.
Superb starters could include smoked salmon with crème fraiche and potato pancake, or king scallops with taboulleh and main dishes include googsnargh chicken and monkfish with porkbelly.
To finish, there’s an excellent cheese selection from the local Birkdale Cheese Centre and delicious desserts which, like the rest of the menu, are very fairly priced.
Michael’s is that rarity among neighbourhood restaurants, serving simple, high quality food, with a lovely ambience, and this is what has earned it a loyal following.
