A great pool, clean and spacious facilities. Baby swim class very popular. Female-only time is 3 hrs on a sat from 4pm, a great initiative for women uncomfortable around men to get some exercise.
I was quite offended and disturbed by their 'women only' sessions at a peak time, on a weekend, which meant my brothers and I (female) could not use the pool. Do we pay them to do something as backward as this? Gender segregation and backwardness are not the way to go in the 21st century! We are not in the medieval ages, Janet Adegoke swimming pool. Normally it's crowded there as there are only 4 lanes. Lots of children out of control screaming and messing around - neither staff nor parents telling them to behave in a public place. Quite a nightmare with all the noise. Some receptionists are rude and chavs. Hard to get to with no tube near there and only 1 bus, and hard to find. Expensive too, with almost £4 per visit. Definitely not recommended.

Clean and never-busy pool, which is always useful. I've tended to go at normally busy times, but here there are generally 1 or 2 small groups of children and parents, learning to swim or playing about, and then lanes for the more serious swimmer.
Depending on when you go, there are 1-3 lanes available. Never too much hassle, and it's never too busy.
Around 6 months ago, the pool smelled a little like they had a toilet drainage problem but this appears to be sorted now!
This is a great pool. Not only is it newish and usually deserted, but it is dirt cheap - I went from paying a disgusting 4.50 per swim in Bloomsbury to, wait for it, 1.70 a time at Janet Adegoke! There are regular lessons for people of all abilities and ages, as well as a shallow beginners’ pool. The centre is easy to get to from Bush, East Acton and the White City area, but you will find it difficult to get here from elsewhere. If you decide to, however, it will be worth your while!
Christoff I was a student when I wrote that review, alas I no longer qualify for that rate and in any case I have been told that they have stopped doing student prices - although I haven’t checked that out for myself.

I’ve had some fun times in this place.
It opened in 2006, so it’s still pretty new. I really like it. I used to have a LifestylePlus card which meant I could swim at any time for 50p a throw or use the gym for the same price, but it has since expired and I no longer qualify, so I must shell out the full whack of £3.30.
There is usually no limit on the time you can spend in the pool, I’ve not used the gym but I believe the same is true of that. There are two pools, a small learners one and a regular sized (25m) pool with a freestyle section and lanes.
If you go during the day there are likely to be school kids having swimming lessons, but this rarely infringes on your own swim fun. Quite frequently though, you will have the pool nearly to yourself. Remember 20p for the lockers!

The pool is named after Janet Adegoke, who was the first black mayor of London. I respect this woman for all her political and social achievements, but mostly because she has a very pleasant pool in her name. Well done, Janet. And thank you.
It's great to have swimming facilities nearby, and this fairly new pool serves the purpose well. Clean, and well run, it is great for a pre-work swim (as it is open from 7am) when there are never very many people about. I took my stepson here too and he loved it, as during holidays (and I'm assuming weekends) they throw in the inflatables, while keeping swimming lanes open for the serious swimmers. There is also a childrens pool for the littler ones. It isn't a huge pool, but the use of a swimming facility is a boon to this area.
