I went here for lunch this week as I’ve been meaning to check it out since it opened and finally got round to it. Eroma is 24 hour internet café that serves bagels, sandwiches, salads, jacket potatoes, Jamaican patties and some pasta dishes. Nothing too fancy but very good value and generous portions. The jacket potato I had was enormous and accompanied by some peculiar salady things (like parsley sprinkled with couscous (?!)). It was well cooked and fluffy but the skin was not as crispy as I like it to be, but that’s a minor detail really. My lunch date had a chicken, bacon & avocado toasted bagel which was nice if a little heavy with mayo. The décor is one step up from cheap and cheerful – clean and efficient with a little bit of sass.

The zinger is that I can get a coffee and a bagel at any time of day, and it’s pretty inexpensive, so I can rest easy knowing that.

Very filling, as the portions are generous. Great food and great value for money.

Why am I reviewing this café/sandwich shop, fitted out in red plastic, and not looking very special? Because they have THE BEST jacket potatoes around - HUGE, I mean you have never encountered jacket potatoes this big in a café before, with fluffy potato and crisp jackets, plus you can choose from a counter display of fresh fillings. When you eat in you also get a side salad, which all in all makes a terrific and very cheap meal. The same goes for their baguettes and sandwiches, you can choose your own fillings from a large selection, and it's all at a great price.
