We tried this restaurant on a Saturday lunchtime. Being 4 adults and 5 kids, we did need a bigger table than most and so were forced to wait 40 mins for a table, despite being told 10. This is probably okay for adults but with hungry kids it was a bit of a stretch on their patience and ability to resist hunger.
Having said that, once we were (finally) seated, the service was swift, efficient and friendly. Colouring and crayons kept the kids from open revolt and I was pleased that they had the good sense to bring the children's food first, which was the typical 'kids menu' fare: sausages, chicken, pizza etc mostly served with chips.
Adults food was good and served not long after the kids food. Meat eaters and vegetarians were equally accommodated by a large menu.
If you don't like eating in restaurants with tables full of kids, I would suggest you avoid at weekend lunchtimes, but as family friendly restaurants go, this certainly ticked most of the boxes.
Family friendly notes: Average N1 prices, baby chairs available, balloons and plastic giraffes provided for the kids. Varied kids menu.
Normally I try not to order thai food in places that also serve a variety of other foods (working on the theory jack of all trades master of none!) However I had the thai duck stir fry and was pleasantly surprised, it was lovely and fresh tasting. I knowis should be an easy dish to get right but it's surprising how many places don't. They also did their best to accomodate us as we told then we were in a rush to go and see a movie. Good service, nice food, reasonable prices. Recommended

I had never actually been to a Giraffe before, despite seeing them dotted all over the place, but was pleasantly surprised.
We went for breakfast on a Sunday morning, and had a really relaxing meal. I had a full english, whilst my girlfriend had the porridge (despite being tempted by a huge pile of pancakes).
Everything was cooked perfectly (it’s so easy to get a cooked breakfast wrong!) and the staff were really friendly and attentive.
I wasn’t overly impressed with the full evening menu, so am not sure if I will be going for dinner, but will definitely be back for breakfast at some point (it’s much easier to get a table at than the nearby Breakfast Club!).

The best thing about Giraffe was that they never made us feel anything less than welcome even though we spent nearly 3 hours here meeting up with a changing group of friends and family.
We went on a Sunday lunch time and the service was slow and the place was very busy with lots of children. If you don’t have children I can’t see why you’d want to go a there on a Sunday lunchtime.
The food was OK but I was expecting something better given the rave reviews I’ve heard from other people. The children’s meals did seem to mostly come with chips and we forgot to ask if they’d give my daughter salad instead - I dare say they would have. They made sure the toddler got her pasta with the sauce on the side as requested. Both the older children found the falafel in a bun too stodgy. They’re more used to having their falafel with salad and possible pitta.
So top marks for friendly and helpful service but marked down for slow service and rather ordinary food.

Giraffe must be one of my favourite restaurants in London. Their premise is simple, great food from around the world freshly prepared on the venue with good ingredients. I even took my fussy-eater parents there after some persuasion and they loved the food.
The service on each occasion i've been has always been brilliant, and the price is very good. Last time I think 1 large shared starter, 3 mains & two bottles of wine and a beer came in at under £60, which is not bad for London.
With various other locations around London there should be one in your area and i couldn't recommend enough.

I go to Giraffe for one reason alone. Late breakfast on a Sunday morning. The place is exactly what you need to rehydrate and help you feel a touch more human after a Saturday night on the tiles. There are a wide selection of teas and fruit juices and the breakfast menu is great. There are most things you could want ranging from healthy porridge to a full Enlish fry-up- my personal favorite has to be the pancakes with berry compote-mmmmmmm.
There is always a selection of papers for you to sit back and relax.

The Giraffe bar is a chain and the more the merrier! There is a wide range of always delicious food catered to all with great vegetarian courses.
The decor is low lighting and mellow with yellow and red furnishings and walls creating a relaxing and mellow place to dine but still with a vibrant atmosphere. The staff are friendly and smiley.
Good cocktails and desserts to!

This cafe is one in a chain of 'Giraffes' that have become pretty popular since first opening. It has a pretty cosy yet buzzing atmosphere with low lighting and lots of orange and brown decor everwhere, and the seating arrangements are either long benches or comfy booths. It's usually pretty busy, and is very child friendly, so you often see families eating here, and there's also outdoor seating. They have quite a mixed and eclectic selection of food from around the world, better small dishes like starters than main courses, but they also do mixed plates and burgers. I'd say go here for a snack and a coffee more than anything else though, and they do really good ice creams and smoothies that won't hurt you money-wise.
