I haven’t done the tour, but i had a drink in the bar last night. Excellent selection of wine and we had no trouble getting a seat. In fact, by 8pm we were the only ones in the place! Nice, attentive staff and reasonable prices given the quality of the wine.

Next stop - Do the tour. Although i hear it’s quite difficult to get drunk on the tour!? Weird…..

This place gives you an oppourunity to learn about vines from all over the world. You also get to sample views and other alcoholic drinks while learning about them. The tour was very interesting and the wines were good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food there was good and atmosphere was great. I really enjoyed myself there. It is a great way to spend an afternoon.

I came here with a group of work colleagues one evening, we choose the most basic package that included 5 glasses of wine with cocktail at the end. We had a guide who was very informative, and taught us the proper way to taste wine, and what to look out for when drinking wine. He was very informative and very congenial host as he took us round what could be described as the “museum of wine”. We tried various different types of wine from allover the world, and if we had chosen a more expensive package, I fear we might have got quite drink. (even though you are technically supposed to spit the wine out afterwards – I didn’t bother myself!). I would really recommend this to anyone who wants to find out a little more about wine.

Vinopolis is a top class place.

This is absolutely posh and expensive (of course!).

I went there on Friday with my colleagues. We first went to the wine bar (bar blue entrance) and tried some wine (we chose a Malborough Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand that was fantastic).

You feel very special there. Waiters pour wine into your glasses when it's finished and really take good care of you!

We then went to the Cantina to have supper (deco is not exceptional but the food is!). To start with, they give us a fresh warm bun with butter. Main courses are between £12-28. Personally I had duck paté/foie gras as starter and pancakes filled with some nice veggies (pictures attached) as main course. Delicious.

They also have a huge selection of digestives.

I highly recommend it!
