i think this review is more than a little harsh, it is also been copied and pasted onto many sites. i bit lazy for a food reviewer. it is also incorrect to say that a 60 seat restaurant is a very small restaurant, no chef would ever consider that number of covers small. Food reviewer or someone with a grudge??

I can honestly say this is one of the best restaurants I have visited!!! My family took me there for a surprise birthday and it was wonderful - the food, service and the garden was fantastic. I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant.

That review is ridiculous. We've been eating at Sangthai every 2 months for 4 years now, and it is perfect every time. We drive from Leeds because it is so fresh and authentic, and we haven't found any better Thai(believe me, we've tried most of the Thai in Leeds).. The service is great, if a bit slow at times, but it's worth the wait. If you want consistently delicious Thai food, try Sangthai.

I would not recommend this restaurant. I have given it three goes now, as it is a convenient meeting place with friends. Terrible service, and low quality food which is over priced. If its Thai that you are looking to eat the best Thai restaurant I have found in the Yorkshire area is out in Beverley called Muang-Thai Restaurant. Its genuine fresh thai food at its best, its very small with only 60 covers or so to enable the chef to literally cook your meal to order.
