we went there last week, wanted a family room, after going into the family room we walked straight back out, it was really disgusting the amount of food between the furniture, my children refused to even sit down, i really wonder how often these restaurants receive a health check, and what really frustrates me is that our muslim brothers and sisters are happy with this environment,

i was really peaced off, i was not treated as a customer should be, apparently in a BADR restaurant it s their tradition in dealing with unhappy customers. i would definitely not recommand that shity restaurant to anyone even not to my worst enemies.

(When we were there as a family, the family rooms where absolutely clean, no food in the furniture in sight).

I went to this restaurant once, the prices are reasonable as it’s not a very posh restaurant.
It was recommended to me by a friend who loved everything about this restaurant, but as you may notice I totally disagree.
I didn’t really like the food as it was quite spicy, although the Arabic food is usually not that spicy.
The staff was very friendly but the service was very slow, although it was not very busy.

UmmAnisa, 20 June 2011:
I had lunch at the Bader restaurant twice, it’s a very nice restaurant located at Coventry road, small heath. The food was delicious and well presented.
Most of the popular Middle Eastern dishes were displayed, such as the tabuula, baba qanoush, shawarma...etc. the bill was not too high comparing with the quality of food that was served.
The waiters were so friendly, and the environment of the seating area was very relaxing and calm.
I would defiantly recommend you to try this restaurant.

The food is almost professionally done arab style. The restaurant is located in an area who do not like food that does not contains hot chilli especially people coming from India, Pakistan or even yemenis. Chilli sauce is available and I knew that because I don't like hot chilli on my food.
I'm rating this restaurant for its food and environment. Obviously being located in Coventry rd it is important to be realistic and not expect a posh restaurant like the previous review did.
In the end I would say the food was tasty and beautifully presented from taboule, baba ganoush and shawarma and lots of other arab famous dishes. The restaurant owner is Lebanese himself.
In order to taste arab food I recommend people trying a variety of food instead of sticking with one dish they won't like.

I had a chance to go to this place today. Was expecting something special but it was just ok. The seatings are ok. seperate area for families and non smokers. Not too much choice of food. The food tasted more like asian than lebanese or turkish. The price is high for what they are offering. Did’nt enjoy the food at all or the environment. Maybe they need to get some training from proper middle eastern cooks.
