Nice views from the top of the hill, a good place to take any visitors coming in from out of town. But not great for a quick footie game as not much flat space.

Quite simply the best view of London anywhere in the City. If you’re feeling rich, buy some food from one of the foodmarkets in the village, and then climb to the top of the hill, eat your picnic and admire the most amazing city in the world. Afterwards, walk through Regents’ Park, past London Zoo, into London W1.

Primrose hill is a great place to relax and watch the world go by. It is an excellent location, withing walking distance of Camden Town.
I last visited Primrose Hill with my girlfriend in the summer on a Saturday afternoon, chilled with a bottle of bubbly…

This is near where I live in Hampstead. I used to walk over Primrose Hill every day when I was working for the BBC. Over the Hill and through Regents Park Zoo - I was a member of the zoo so it cost me nothing. I did it twice a day. Primrose Hill has the most perfect view over London and I recommend it.

A lovely area to have a nice pub lunch in, and then go for a walk taking in the view from the hill. Good with or without children and pet dogs!!

Pretty decent hill for having a look at the skyline and reminding yourself how busy London is.

I noticed recently that there are an incredible amount of twins here, probably due to all the IVF. It wasn’t just the babies either, the dogs too. Actually since they have shops selling sausage rolls for 2.50, they probably do IVF for dogs as well.

It’s very close to some sort of giant bird cage. We haven’t identified this yet, but V’s sister says it’s a farm.

Has anyone noticed how many recent British Films have a scene on Primrose Hill? I suppose its not surprising as this is a lovely area with really good views of London including London Zoo and the London Eye.

The surrounding shops are mostly cute but expensive little Bistros, coffee shops and boutiques, this is a very affluent area of London.

I once nearly met Robbie Williams on Primrose Hill! a journalist asked us if we had seen him, apparently he had just left before we got there. How’s that for an almost claim to fame!!

One of the best places in London for a picnic. Sunbathe, spot celebs, and enjoy the view, then pop down to Regents Park Rd for a meal. Fab day out!

This is my favorite park in London. The perfect place for a summer evening. You can sit at the top of the hill with a picnic and watch the sun go down, looking out over london. There are flat spaces at the bottom aswell if your looking for a place to play frisbee or football etc. This is what summer in London is all about.

I must say this is one of the little gem of London. Not so many tourists know about it, so it is serene, and has a lovely village atmosphere. I simply enjoy walking around or sit on a bench to read a book. Nearby restaurants, cafe and boutiques are nice too.

To me, this is one of the most special places in London and you’d be hard pushed to find somewhere better for views of the City. It is located close to Regent’s Park and next to an area that feels like a friendly, local community (a rarity in London these days). The park itself is a fair size surrounded by a road but it doesn’t feel noisy or polluted. The climb to the top of the hill isn’t too stenuous. It’s best to climb without peeking behind you as you’ll spoil the surprise. Once you reach the top, turn around and lap up the sights. There is a map at the top, pointing out the main buildings you can see, such as London Eye, St Pauls Cathedral and Docklands, it really is superb. Why not take a picnic and a botte of bubbly and watch the sunset.

Adjoining regents Park, this tract of open land is well maintained and is popular with residents who live around it. because it is on a hill, the views of London are spactacular and until last last, the annual Guy Fawke’s Bonfire and fireworks were a must. However, because of the politically correct brigade, al that has stopped The reason being ‘elf and safety laws meant that someone, somewhere in the crowd COULD be hit by a firework. Pathethic how we are governed by this Nanny state.

A great place to sit and watch the world go by on a summer afternoon. Fantastic views of central London, belsize park and hampstead and lots of sports going on (particularly on weekends). The built up part of Primrose Hill consists mainly of Victorian terraces. Quite a fashionable (and expensive!) part of London. Jamie Oliver used to live half way up the hill and rumour has it that he moved because of people coming up and knocking on his door asking for a bacon sandwich after pub chucking out time! Not sure if this is a true story, brilliant if it is!

Lots of great pubs and restaurants up on the hill. I recommend the Albert or the Pembroke. Both good for eating and drinking!

Whether, you are an excercise maniac or just love the outdoors, Primrose hill is a beautiful park for everyone, any season. I once spent a very cold rainy new years on top of primrose hill. With champagne and a great atmosphere, the weather really does not seem to matter. In summer, it is perfect for picnics or bringing little kids for a day out. And in the very unlikely circumstance of snow, homemade tobaggans slide very smoothly from the top! Ok, so it is a long and gruelling walk to the top, but the view is well worth it and it makes the experience of walking downhill all that more rewarding!

OK, I admit to a bias since I lived next to Primrose Hill for a couple of years. Take the mildly exerting stroll to the top and view a great London panorama. Its a postcard moment, featured in many a cheesy movie, with the London Zoo adorning the foreground and the architectural icons of London (Eye, gherkin etc.) arrayed beyond. Said to be made from the dug out soil from the Regent's canal, continue the theme and follow PH with a stroll along the canal - turn left for Camden Lock, or a cheeky right for Little Venice.

One of my favourite things to do in London is to watch the world go by and there is no better place to do it than in Primrose Hill.

The view of London city from here is absolutely stunning! you san sit back and relax with a book, walk your dog, have a picnic with your friends or simply just take it all in!

You have got to go here!

Nearest tube station is Chalk Farm.
