Why don’t they do more shows like this? I loved every second of it & spent the next couple of weeks humming very inappropriate songs to myself.

The adult themes & the puppetry work so well & encourage the inner child that most of us still have to enjoy themselves & behave in a slightly ridiculous manner (well, me, anyway!).

I would recommend this to anyone with a sense of humour, although it isn’t one for those easily offended!

Puppet sex rocks!!!

A very enjoyable show in the West End and one that people who ‘don’t like musicals’ will probably enjoy. An adult version of Sesame Street with excellent pupeteering, great performances and a wicked sense of humour.

We went on Thursday and unwittingly became part of the 2nd birthday of Avenue Q London. This meant we were treated to an extra scene at the end

A little bit of extra West End excitement came from the fact that nearly all the Nancys from ‘I’d Do Anything’ and a few Josephs were watching the show and were actually sat on the very same row as us. I can exclusively reveal that they are much smaller in real life than on tv.

Good fun, the whole puppet thing really works well and you can’t help singing along to the very catchy songs. Only complaint is as with many of the older, small theatres is the uncomfortable and very cramped seating.

I can't quite explain how much I LOVE this musical. It is the funniest thing I have ever seen. I saw it last July and I still laugh when I think of it, and get pangs of jealousy every time I hear that someone else is going to see it. I actually groaned out loud in a restaurant the other night when I overheard the two ladies next to me telling the waiter they wanted a quick meal because they were 'rushing off to Avenue Q'. That was embarrassing.

Where else can you see Sesame Street-esque puppets f**king and swearing on stage? This award-winning musical has been imported from New York city, but seems to have adapted quite well to its London venue. Both cities are host to a similar glut of out-of-work Bachelor's degree graduates living 'la vie boheme' of RENT days albeit with a better sense of self-preservation and inherent bourgeois identity. This musical will appeal to all those who see themselves in this description (however reluctantly) and who can understand the sad irony and inherent hope of songs like "What do I do with a BA in English?" that win their writers Tony awards.

I would reccomend this to everyone, its simply fantastic. Within the first 15 minutes, I was already thinking of seeing it again. The cast were brilliant and the songs were so catchy, I invested in the soundtrack without delay. I went with my family, and not one member had a bad thing to say about it. We also got really good value tickets for a week night as there is a student discout offer. Its an absolute must see.

Went back for seconds this week end and took the parents (60-somethings) which was a bit of a gamble but they LOVED it. In fact they are still chuckling. It is naughty in a grown up muppets sort of way (there is a hilarious drunk puppet shagging scene which is set to a number 'make as much noise as you like - brilliant). Also be prepared for a heart braking coming out sub plot, a deeper quest for purpose and many quips and one liners that are so un pc and naughty but hugely amusing from the mouth of a cute puppet.

Go go go and if you have already been go back with the parents.

This is a fantastic musical starring various puppets. Yes, I know it sounds like a kid's show, but this couldn't be further from the truth! Instead, be prepared for a politically incorrect offering with some of the funniest one liners I have ever heard in the theatre. Songs like The Internet is for Porn" and "What do you do with a BA in English?" should give you an idea of what to expect! It tells the story of a puppet who hits a quarter life crisis and how he resolves it in a fun way with some incredibly catchy tunes and great laughs. Don't miss it!
