Great place near Tower Bridge. This is one of the city’s hidden gems!!! It serves traditional Indian cuisine at very reasonable prices. The place isn’t huge which helps build on a very cosy atmosphere. The staff is very polite and attentive. The food is excellent. You have all the standard Indian fare available. For starters the onion bajis are immense! The chicken tikka masala is a great main course and the fresh naan is exquisite. The clientele range from locals to city types but the ambience is always friendly and chilled out.

This is a gem of an Indian restaurant in Bermondsey. Located in Tower Bridge Road, it is close to Shad Thames and London Bridge. I am told that it has been around for years and is somewhat of an institution in the area, having undergone a relaunch not long ago. The decor is modern and the menu varied- all for a very reasonable price. I always seem to go for the Chicken Biryani which is an enormous dish which comes with a huge vegetable curry on the side. The service is friendly and efficient and they also do deliveries for those evenings when all you feel like doing is lying in front of X factor with a good curry and beer! It is also a good venue for a party as there is lots of space and meals and drinks are reasonably priced.
