Great Food, Great Service. A proper pub, not tied down by the constraints of the brewery. Pub Quiz every Tuesday, Live Jazz. Home Cooked meals.

Seems a nice little pub, on a stretch where there aren’t too many others. Although I haven’t eaten here it seems like a good place to go with nice big wooden tables. Perfect for summer as seating outside.

No complaints about The Greyhound, except I really am not a big fan of the North end of Ladbroke Grove! The pub itself is totally fine, good prices and a decent enough crowd. There’s a garden which is good for the summer. Bar staff are kind of eclectic and it has a fun atmosphere, which is more than can be said for the area outside! I’ve also had one or two good drinks from the cocktail menu and was quite impressed. Yeah, it’s fine.

I can literally run to this place in under a minute. Its a great local, not only good for drinks, but the atmosphere is usually good… Have tried the food here once… found it quite nice… and have met friends here every once in a while…

This is one of my favourite local pubs. It’s warm, welcoming and attracts a mixed crowd. Smokers will find they have a choice between tables lining the pavement outside the front door or the charming garden out back. Inside it’s dark and warm and very comfortable with tables for groups of any size from couples to after work gatherings. It’s treat to look around and see everyone from older gentlemen drinkers to young media types with their laptops all enjoying the convivial atmosphere. It’s a great place to bring a friend or two to start an evening out.
My tipple is cider and the Greyhound does not disappoint with Aspells on draught. Not cheap at £3 a pint but very nice indeed! Service can be a bit offhand but they’ll get to you eventually.
They do food, too. I haven’t tried it yet but the menu has an appealing gastro pub theme.
(Just a note: it’s a singular Greyhound not a plural!)
Update: 28 March 2008
Went there yesterday and was not impressed by my fellow punters. Yelling, shouting and carrying on as if they owned the place. Very unpleasant for the rest of us. Staff helpful and polite and Aspells on form but we had to leave after one - for these reasons the pub can keep its stars. But be warned and try somewhere else if the invasion proves permanent.
