Great burger. Non existent customer service, to the point that you’re reminded of MacDonalds by having to pay at the till.

I had the avocado and bacon burger and it came stacked so high the only way of eating it was with a knife and fork. I tried to pick it up and eat it, but to no avail. I’m not sure you should need cutlery to eat a burger, but it tasted good and the salad and slaw was inexpensive and plentiful.

I think I’ll give it another go, just to see what it deserves another star.

Well! Well! Well! What can I say about this restaurant, apart from the fact that they make burger posh. I am not a big fan of burger, so when a friend suggested we had dinner at this restaurant, it was no surprise that I had some reservations. Anyway, I decided to go, as it would be nice to have something different from my usual favourite (Chinese). The décor was cool, a little bit similar to nandos style design i.e. craft and stuff, it however had some originality to it. The style of ordering did not really go down with me, choosing a table and then going over to order and pay; I’m sure most people don’t mind so I’ll put it down to personal choice.
My gosh, the burger was Massive! The taste wasn’t bad, fresh and well cooked, but I was expecting something tastier for the price I paid (about £10). I did not go for the chips as they were overly priced and it didn’t look too good on the plate next table. Oh boy! Did my jaw get wider after eating the burger? Yep it sure did.
The staffs were not the friendliest and the waiting time for your meal was not impressive. Apart from that, it is a nice place for a decent lunch and casual dinner.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen has a trendy interior and, although a bit more expensive than the average high street burger joint, the delicious burgers and other dishes are huge and freshly prepared with large side orders to match. Catering for vegetarians is provided.

Worth checking out - for any red-blooded fans of red meat.

Fancy burger chains seem to be springing up all over the place. But a burger is a burger is a burger right? You won’t get much different to your local macdonalds right? Wrong.

This place offers some of the finest burgers around. The key as with any great restaurant (and yes a burger joint is a restaurant!) is the ingredients. They use only the finest and boy can you taste it.

One minor quibble the service could have been a little faster, but all in all thoroughly recommended.

This is possibly one of the best burger joints I have ever been to- and reasonable for whats on offer! There is a wide array of burgers on ofer- both meat based and vegetarian. I normally opt for a plain burger, but when I am not in the mood for meat, their falafel burger is also a winner. Make sure you order a side of their delicious fries as these are almost as good as the burgers. Service is friendly and efficient. This is a great place to have a quick burger when you are not in the mood to compromise on quality!

Oh boy, there aren't really words to describe how much I love this place. Everyone I know loves this burger restaurant - even my grandma! The choice of burgers is extensive, and they are always adding to the menu. My favourite is Chicken with Camembert and Cranberry, but there are so many other good ones too. Perfectly fine for non-meat eaters too - they are just so inventive they have things like Portebello Mushroom Burgers, Falafel Burgers and Aubergine Burgers. They recently added a selection of salads to the menu too. The milkshakes are excellent and although they are quite pricey, they are huge so you can split them between two of you and still be satisfied. The burgers stand tall on your plate (I think they advertise that they are 6inches) and they are so generous with toppings that it can all get a bit messy, but that's all part of the fun! Might not be a great place for a first date though - it's hard to impress when you have cranberry sauce running down your chin...
The staff are always friendly and it is an informal place - you place your order and pay at the till before you eat.
There is also a branch on Belsize Lane, and both have outdoor seating areas with heaters. (There are other GBK locations, but these are the only two I have visited, so far...)
All I can say is, GO! You won't regret it!
