Great! Been a few times, and the people are friendly, nice atmosphere! Unfortunately its closed at the moment from a fire, but hopefully will be back sooon!

Great atmosphere, cheaper prices, good people, great staff. Unfortunately caught up in the Camden Blaze, but when it gets back on the map make sure to drop in for a good pint, good music and make some new friends….

This pub is and I say is, because I am sure it will return, is the best pub I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. It simply has to return. But why the best you may ask? Because in this world full of far too many souless pubs, the Hawley Arms stands out as unpretentious, with real soul and with good quality cheap food. Come back soon to us!

Apparently this is where Wino drinks these days, and if she's as big a fan of real ale as I am, I can see why. A quite trad pub with a cool edge to it, plenty of room, and a real open fire is always a nice touch in winter. There's a heated outdoor terrace for the smokers amongst you too.

***UPDATE

Tragically, The Hawley Arms was destroyed in a massive fire round Camden Market the other night. Awful news indeed. I hope, like a Phoenix from the flames, they rise again.

The Hawley was a great pub - had many a fine time here including 2 or 3 birthdays along the way. Terrible that it has been so damaged in the Camden fire on Saturday 9th Feb that apparently the talk is of it being pulled down. Hope the guys and girls behind the Hawley can get it back up and running again soon - best of luck to them, they ran a fine pub with a great atmosphere. Lets hope the traditional pub feel, the smoking deck and the good food can be brought back to Camden quickly.

Once upon a time, this pub was deserted. A ghost ship of a pub with perhaps an old man here or there. Then something dramatic happened, and this pub is now the haunt of rock stars, actors and fashionable young things. But its not pretentious in any way, which makes this place a splendid one for Sunday afternoon roast and a pint, or for a rock-tastic camden night out.

This is a really great pub and it is quickly becoming the coolest place to be seen in Camden (amy Winehouse is a regular there don't you know). It has several different floors, with outdoor space too. The drinks aren't too pricey (just standard for Camden) and they serve some good food in the early evening. I'd recommend the fish and chips. The place can get major busy and it can be hard to find a place to stand, let alone sit, but this is just a sign of its popularity. I had my birthday here just last week and I had all my friends telling me the next day what a great place I'd found. So, go there and discover it for yourself!
