Rather garish building but the food is OK if you need a lot for a little money! Not the sort of place to celebrate a honeymoon I think, for that once in a life time climactic experience.
Clean, friendly, good value, you get what you pay for.

I have tried my fair share of Chines Buffets in my time, but when a friend introduced me to Jimmy Chung’s, it rated number one on my list.

There as an enormous selection of food and something there for everybody. The decor is very appealing, with most tables being spaceous.

Staff are fast and efficient, and extremely friendly. On one occasion I arrived 15 minutes before they opened, and one of the waitresses allowed me to come in at that time and wait at my table, rather than out in the cold.

It’s a great place for taking the children, as it’s a buffet, a child can explore their taste buds and see what they like/don’t like. As I’m sure most of us will be aware of how fussy children can be.

The price is also fantastic. The only fault I have is the price of drinks, but then I am sure that they have to make the money up in some areas.

Definately somewhere to go if you are looking for something cheap, and with fast service!

The food is always plentiful and very nice, popular dishes are topped up frequently. The staff are very friendly and clear up after every serving. The variety is very good and the restaurant is always busy, many chinese people dine there which is good to see as we know the food must be of a high standard.

What a total disappointment - 26/02/2008
I took my wife during our honeymoon in Edinburgh
The crispy duck was burnt and very dry (Not very crispy)
The starters were dry / no flavour (several hours old)
The Currys were congealed together - obviously the staff believe if you stir them every 10 mins then the food is fit for consumption - Sadly not in our experience

Jimmy Chung's is a great all you can eat Chinese buffet, it has a wide selection of starters, main courses and desserts.
Because of the buffet set up you can pick and choose what you want, keep to the things you like or try something new.
It's also fully licensed.
The place is clean and the staff are very friendly and efficient.
Its also great to take kids because you dont have to worry about them not liking something because they can go up and get something else.

The prices and selection of dishes vary depending on the time of day.

Brill place to go for a munch

This all you can eat Chinese buffet is excellent value. The variety is huge with soups, starters such as spring rolls, crispy aromatic duck, mains, rice and desserts.

The quality of the food is really good and I've never had a bad experience here. The staff are friendly and very efficient, and the place is always busy.

Fully licenced all you can eat chinese buffet, with a huge selection to suit any appetite, Dishes and prices vary depending on when you visit. Drinks are standard city prices. It is clean, pleasant and child freindly, it is also easily accessed by wheelchairs.

The infamous Jimmy Chungs, on Waverley Bridge, offers a huge slection of chinese food in its buffet. The buffet includes starters (prawn crackers, spring rolls etc), dozens of main course options (rice/noodles, chicken vegetable and beef dishes) and dessert (ice cream and jelly, cakes and tarts). The waiters are extremely efficient, presumably because of the high turnover required to keep an all-you-can-eat buffet afloat. A great place to visit for a big 'stock up' meal. Can be recognised by its flame style decor in the windows.
