The Prom is a terrific place to go . The quality of the live music is second to none!
Check out “Red Faced Charlie” thursday 13th Nov 08 .
They have to be one of the best live bands around the Bristol area (and its free!!!!!)

The Prom cafe and bar serves as a great place to enjoy a coffee in the day, and an enjoyable music venue most evenings. With student dicount offered on drinks, it doesn't have to make for an expensive night enjoying much great live music. Enjoy a drink or cigarette 'al fresco' style under the huge canopy which gives a real mediterannean feel. A warm, cosy interior on two levels with dimmed lighting; ideal for a night out with friends or perhaps a date.

The Prom has live music almost every night, but it's a slightly depressing place to go on any night other than friday or saturday since the music then can often be "open mic" standard without the benefit of hearing someone different every ten minutes. It's usually packed on fridays and saturdays and they charge to get in so if you don't particularly like the band then go to the Blue Lagoon instead, (which is further towards the arches on the same side of the road, and also has chairs and tables outside the front).
