IMO, you really cannot get to taste food of this quality at this price anywhere in England.
Fantastic meat & vegetarian selection. I am not a fan of buffet "style" restaurants, but this one is worth a visit.
Do give it a try - you will almost certainly come back again.

The restaurant is with buffet and it is self service. The place is quite small and it is a place where you can spend some time to eat quickly and go.
The salads are delicious and there is such a big variety for green veget. There is always chicken or meet cooked with nice sauce as well and the bread is very tasty..
I really enjoy this place when I am in hurry and want to eat something healthy and really cheap..
And of course, I love their desserts and even their coffee(really nice)..

I used to think this was a good restaurant and i would go there alot until, a friend and I realised that they put soooooooo much salt in there, which isn’t that bad but really its so u don’t eat as much! and its not that good for you either. Cheeky, believe i used to really enjoy going there in awe and amazed by “all the healthy food, bright colours and variety” after that initial amazement the salt gets there and never leaves i haven’t been since. If you read this and go there, you will know what i mean.

I always feel healthier after eating here. The take-away boxes are great value for money and they always have lots of great dishes.

An absolute gem in the Brighton eatery list. This is the only place I go when I fancy an array of lovely vegetables and salady things. Always a lovely selection of delightful things to try. And great value for money.

Have been past here a few times but never actually gone in…..what a mistake!! The place was busy but you could get a seat. The food was just great and the pleasure was only surpassed by the price I paid for it. Whilst I am a “savoury” person, I have been converted by homemade cheesecake which will mean more waistlines to be “let out”. Ho-hum… but great work Foodilic…

What a great concept. Have a few dishes, cook them to perfection and let people help themselves. Great for a quick sit in lunch or a take-away in a box.
If you do eat in I recommend the spinach salad, nom nom nom…

Intereresting and creative salads and hearty strews.Best of all you can try 20 different dishes. I took my neice who won’t touch a vegetable and she loved everything there. It is healthy, fast and great value for money. Every salad tastes different- some are spicy, some sweet. There is brown bread (yay!) and a new soup everyday. The variety is amazing- there are at least 10 different salads to choose from. Great drink selection and a range of simple, indulgent, huge cakes topped with ice cream to compensate for all the healthiness.
I prefer to go here over most of the fancy restaurants in town. Since food is already prepared (not old) it is a great place to go before the theatre or when you’re in a hurry in town. The rice is great. £6.45 for unlimited food. It was a tad greasy- but most restaurants are worse.
I think most people do not realise there is an upstairs with more seating/space.
If they had a frequent eater card I come come every day.

Delicious food, always fresh & mouthwateringly delicious - it is no wonder they are always busy :-)

I'm not normally a big fan of the buffet - except in Vegas - but I'll make an exception for Foodilic.
When I eat out then it's always a balancing act between quality and value - you aim the max out on both but basic economics tell you that just isn't possible.
At Foddilic, whith the lunch buffets I feel that they have gotten it just about right, it's cheap, filling giving it plenty of value and just tipping over onto the side of quality.
The food is mediteraneanish, padded out with plenty of pulses. But makes a worthy lunch stop.

I've walked passed this strange looking restaurant while walking though bustling North Street many times..... always though the food looks healthy and different as oppose to other fast food in the immediate area.
Last week I met my lady friend for lunch there and must say, it's not at all what I expected. Sure it's a bit small and the service is very laid back, but the food was cheap and delicious. The lunch time buffet actually had a very nice selection of food - beef, pork, chicken, rice, salads and many other vegetarian options.
I'm not much a a vegetarian food lover, but I must say, it was a pleasant surprise and more surprising was how filling it was..... and even more surprising was the £18 mill for two people.

I usually expect to leave a restaurant broke or starving and on a few woeful occasions I have managed to do both. This place has solved the quality/quantity dichotomy. Fill your face for less than seven quid – and it’s all tasty stuff. You’ll have to pay an extra £3 for a pudding but greedy guts will probably have little room left for apple cake or chocolate terrine after generous helpings of spinach and mushroom salad, grilled peppers, fennel, red onion, courgettes and aubergine followed by bacon wrapped with chicken stuffed with feta cheese and spinach.

In brighton yesterday - easter saturday - place was heaving with folks and loads of eats places but stumbled upon foodilic -- what a great find. My wife and I has a fab meal - loads of choices/great meat options - lamb, chicken, beef. And the salads were heavenly and I dont like salads much. VFM - outstanding, friendly staff - outstanding. Came away satiated and feeling great without overeating. Although eat as much as you like it doesnt lend itself to you being piggy but the lentils, chick peas, aubergines etc were scrummy!!
Pity there aint one in Southampton or Portsmouth area - WELL WORTH THE MONEY - go there you wil not be disappointed - so much better than the usual plastic places we usually eat. 2 meals, a great sweet and 2 drinks - less than £19 -- mega

I’m going to have to agree with everyone on this one, this place is a little gem.
I stumbled in here one lunchtime after bagging myself a half day at work. Drawn in by the tantalising array of fresh vegetables, hearty meats and salads on display in the window buffet, I joined the many already inside to indulge.
For £6.45 you can gorge on as much as you like, minus the guilt trip that so often follows an all-you-can-eat experience. Every time I’ve been here since my first impromptu visit, I’ve left feeling healthy, happy and full.

Without a shadow of a doubt, Foodlilic is my all time favourite place to go for lunch in Brighton. From the outside, I doubt it could look more inviting if it tried. All the delicious looking food is laid out in the window – roasted vegetables in olive oil, spinach and mushroom in basil pesto, roasted sweet potato, chilli potato wedges, Greek salad, prawn cocktail, smoked salmon, stuffed pork, chicken mayonnaise... and that's just the cold food. They also do hot chicken, lamb and beef stews with rice, pasta or potatoes. Oh, and the cakes! Massive, chunky, chocolatey, iced goodness (and the HUGEST meringues I've ever seen).
And the best thing? It's all you can eat (excluding the cakes) for £6.45 all day long (the price has just gone up from £5.95, but they've done away with the more expensive evening price). I can usually manage two piled up plates, but three just about defeats me. I keep trying though, because it's just so damn tasty.
This little café is always bursting at the seams because it's amazing food at an amazing price. Astonishingly though, there always seems to be just one table spare. I guess because people don't hang around here – it's not a place to go for a 'nice meal', it's a place to grab some incredible fast food. I would recommend eating in though, even if it's packed – they charge for takeaway boxes by weight, which means the value isn't half as good.

I popped in having read Alice's earlier review & having wondered what the place was about on other visits to Brighton. Because it's in North Street & not the Laines, the inverted snob in me had simply passed it by......I was both impressed & delighted by both the quality and quantity of food available. Alice already covers the food selection, but it was especially fresh, flavoursome and original. A (subtly promoted) 'eat all you like' health food restaurant with a tendancy to countries Mediterranean. This really appeals to me, being a near-vegetarian glutton!!!! If you've been tempted & then disappointed by the similar cheap, but grim, 'Indian', 'Chinese' & 'Pizza' places in town, relax and give it a try. I wish we had one where I live!
