This is what London is all about! Free music, well the music is free, sadly you cannot see the stage. The grounds are fenced off with us poor folk on one side and the paying masses on the other. However ,we usually go up in a group with a picnic get a good spot and relax for the day, there are no restrictions on alcohol. They have top names performing. The grounds and house are great also, although there is no access to the house. What do want for nothing?
Don’t drive, nor rely on taxis, walk from the tube. A fantastic way to spend the day with your friends and family in the summer.
Wonderful grounds with really fab free summer concerts! The residents had the concerts banned the year before last but I’m thrilled that the concerts were back on last summer and will be next. Kenwood house is gorgeous too! Great for a ramble around a mansion. At Christmas time they have some great stuff on sale in the shop.
Very good open air venue in a lovely part of London. A visit to an open air concert is a great activity during summer. Bring a picnic though - it’s best enjoyed that way.
I saw Bjorn Again there a couple of years ago and it was hilarious. great family day out.
I’m a huge fan of Kenwood and have been so entertained just exploring the grounds I only recently ventured for the first time into the house to check out the art collection. It’s free and worth a look to explore the interiors and wonder how a family could be nice enough just to give it away to the public.
For film location fans, Kenwood is where Julia Roberts is filming a Henry James period drama in the movie Notting Hill.
One of the nicest places in London. The grounds at Kenwood are used but such a large variety of people of all ages. Perfect for a casual game of football or a picnic. In good weather there is nothing i’d rather be doing than chilling out at kenwood with lunch, friends and a football. Pretty scenery with the green grass surrounded by woods all being overlooked by the majestic kenwood house.
The grounds of the Kenwood House in Hampstead are one of my favourite places in London. The concerts that are put on here in the summer are lovely, but other than this, the grounds are just a great place to go for picnics, have nice walks and fly kites on the hill. With lots of green grass, ponds, small forests and hidden areas, it's just a lovely place to be.
