As the name suggests this is a Bavarian beer house; so if you fancy a stein of beer (or less), delivered to your table by a a waitress in a dirndl, or maybe a sherbet slammer, ...then this is the place to go. The seating area is basic consisting of mainly long bench style tables from where you will be served; at busy times be prepared to share a table with other customers. The food is good and portion sizes are large, choose from schnitzels, German sausages, spazle, pork knuckle, a snack menus, and other dishes. For large parties (that book in advance) you can order a roast suckling pig. Check the website for special offers on events and meals.

The Bavarian Beerhouse claims to be the only Bavarian beerhouse in London, and I was very interested on my visit there because I have never seen anything like it before.
Much different from you're usual bar/pub/resturaunt (although I would say it fits neither of those descriptions) there are many types of Bavarian drink available such as Apfelkorn and Porno Brouse (1 metre of shots) . The tables are long and people sit in rows on either side of each other.

I chose to order an Erdinger lager, served in huge stein glass which is approximately 1.7 pints, (which feelsl like a lot more) which will set you back a cool seven pounds and twenty pence.

The beer was nice and refreshing, although if you are a slow drinker, the bottom of your stein glass may not taste as nice towards the end.

My only quabbles would be that service was a bit slow as you cannot order a drink from the bar, instead you must order and wait for it to be brought to you, but apart from that there is a nice friendly atmosphere and I would definitely return there again.

A hilarious place for a different night out to standard bars. Here you will find a great variety of beers, true bavarian food, a very warm welcome and loads of people having fun.

A large proportion of the customers are German so I think this indicates something positive about the authenticity of the bavarian beerhouse and its food and drink.

Whenever I have been the atmosphere has been brilliant. The music can often be a bit euro-cheese but let yourself get caught up in it. There are often people dancing on the tables, the bar staff and waitresses join in the singing and dancing as well.

So if you're tired of minimalist bars and expensive vodka cokes try a different night out. Plonk yourself down at one of the long wooden tables at the Bavarian bierhaus, order a litre (or a half!) of German ale and get ready to sing along with some catchy euro tunes. Its an evening that will leave you smiling.

This place is fantastic - it offers very authentic Bavarian food and drink complete with an Oktoberfest-like atmosphere all year round! It is the only authentic Bavarian beerhouse in the UK and well worth a visit especially if you have been to Germany. Staff and customers are all very friendly; Lederhosen/Dirndls optional!
