Mojo is one of the best bars in Manchester where you can let your hair down and really have a laugh. It is a music (rock/ indie) themed bar and the music is brilliant. They play all the classic anthems with rarities thrown in too. The bar staff are very friendly and by the end of the night they are known to dance on the bar itself! The cocktails are amazing- they have every one under the sun and the prices are reasonable too. highly recommended.

It would probably be wrong to call this place a hidden gem as its so popular now on weekends, but when you're trying to find it, it certainly feels hidden. Above a Starbucks round the back of Deansgate, I remember this place as Tapas Tapas, a slightly dodgy Spanish joint, but maybe I'm showing my age. These days its a crazy free-for-all rock/cocktail bar. Its a conradictory place - there's no entrance fee, there's hardly any room inside, the cocktails are great, the music manages to delight a range of ages and nationalities, and if you're lucky you might catch one of the nights when the bar staff get on the bar to dance and pour spirits in ecstatic punters mouths.

Part of a small chain, Mojo is hidden off the beaten track but is a must see for rock fans.
The walls are covered in rock and pop posters and photos, and the bar has an edgy but classy feel to it. Unfortunately, there always seem to be more people than seats!
Perfect for a pre-South or pre-42nd Street drink due to it's close proximity.
