Pi Bar

I lived in Leicester for two years while at De Montfort uni and this was our regular place to go for a glass of wine or to get completely hammered on the way into town/down Narborough Road.

The bar staff are lovely, make a great (cheap!) cocktail and the best night of the week was always quiz night, even though we consistently came last.

Probably my favourite place in Leicester, can't wait to get back there for our annual Halloween reunion!

Pi Bar is situated in the heart of the Narborough Road bar circuit. Established in 2002, we have been awarded Mixmag DJ bar of the year, Finalists in Leicester’s Bacardi cocktail competition. We are extremely proud we have been the only bar within the West End to be finalists two years running (2007 & 2008) in Leicester’s Best Bar None Awards.

Conveniently positioned on the corner of Norman Street and Narborough Road, Pi Bar is the ideal place for a quiet drink or a big night out with comfortable leather sofas, a contemporary but cozy design, friendly and knowledgeable staff, a huge selection of draught products, spirits, cocktails and wines.

In these difficult times we appreciate money is short ,so we have launched the “After Work Social” with fantastic offers on selected products all day until 8PM EVERY DAY!!!

PI BAR ♥ STUDENTS - being “slap bang” within the student community of Demontfort Uni, we have THE BEST STUDENT DEALS in the West End which are available Sunday - Thursday all day and night with valid NUS card.

Acoustic OPEN MIC returns EVERY SUNDAY evening from Jan 18th 2009 so if you think you have a bit of talent and can perform in front of a welcoming crowd, we look forward to seeing you soon.

QUIZ NIGHT returns EVERY TUESDAY evening from the 20th Jan 2009 with our resident brain box “Quizmaster Nitan” with CASH PRIZES to be won and FREE raffle with drinks prizes its the best and most popular quiz night in the area.

Pi Bar will again be graced with the cream of Leicestershire’s Live Acts through the first quarter of 2009 with the likes of The Carnabys, Chris Armson, Alice B, Oasis and Stereophonics Tribute bands. If you are in a band and would like to play at Pi Bar, please pop in for a chat.

Very prominent location on Narborough road. You can;t miss it! Spacious inside and lovely couches to chill out on. Prices for drinks reasonable and staff very knowledgable and helpful.

Team night out we had about 35 girls and guys and wanted to have a great night out arranged a Saturday night out and wow was it the cool fun & sexy the place is amazing and had a great crowd 2 big rooms and have to say one of Leicester finest clubs , with ministry of sound playing in room 1 there is funky house called house sexy and room 2 playing there rnb and cool groves was great got a great smoking garden too renamed SOUQ now but still cool like pi bar there open 6 days a week with different theme nights and we all will look forward to all of these nights top place 10 out of 10

Pi Bar has something for everyone. It is in a main student area of the city, and so students get huge discounts on the drinks during the week, bringing a glass of wine down to £1.60, and cocktails 2.50! It is decorated with beautiful pieces of art, which are all bought from students; it is nice to see a bar giving something back to students as they normally spend quite a lot of money on the bars. It also shows major sports events, and hence is popular with everyone. The toilets are also well decorated which I think is th deciding factor for a bar, as it shows the owner cares for his bar not just on a superficial level.
