Cult clothing has moved around several times since I first moved to Birmingham, first swapping its modestly-sized original store for a much larger unit nearby, and then migrating to the Bull Ring when that opened. While they've always stocked the trendier end of alternative and skater fashion, as the years have worn on their gear has grown more generic while the prices have continued to climb.

There are racks and racks of shirts, trousers and shoes in this latest incarnation of the store, but you'll be lucky to find anything that doesn't have the Super Dry brand name plastered all over it. I don't know about you, but I prefer my alternative clothing to have a little less of a uniform feel to it. The clothing is pretty high quality and there are some really funky designs if you're willing to have a bit of a dig through, but at the prices Cult charge you're better off shopping elsewhere for your skater/surf wear.

I remember the original Cult Clothing store just off New Street - it then moved to bigger premises just up the road, and finally fell to the lure of the Bullring as did most stores that were outside that precious boundary!

The new store is average really. Split over two levels, I’ve always found the clothes quite close together and it quite difficult to manoeuvre around the store.

The staff at this new store (whether it’s the change of premises affecting their mood, or new staff) seem to be much ruder than before, and in my experience have been quite reluctant to assist!

The range of clothes, however, is quite good, and the store is a decent size. A bigger shoe department might be beneficial. At the moment it quite lets the shop down.

Interesting store, nice to see something a bit different. Lots of great clothes, although they are pricey. Good sales though, got a Superdry dress for a tenner :)

I remember Cult Clothing when it was the tiniest shop on the corner of a side street in birmigham - now it is a pretty extensive store packed to the gills with cool clothes - although it has lost some of its backstreet charm.

It was when I was 15 that my Uber-Cool boyfriend of the time used to take me there and we would spend hours searching through the racks of hoodies and combats, with him trying on a multitude of different items, until he had found the perfect thing!

I also remember the girls section being simply a room the size of a cupboard!!

The clothes are good quality and reasonably priced, but for me, this store has lost its nostaligia!

Located on the lower floor of the bullring shopping centre, cult is a shop with a wide collection of clothes. Whether you're a skateboarder or a surfer, they've got you covered. Their collections cater for every single individual, have both male and female collections. This is the one shop that will have beach clothes even in the middle of winter. Relatively very good prices. Highly recommended check it out.

I thought I'd give this store a shout because it's a little different to the other massive clothing stores that you find in the all new Bullring.

Very cool, all exposed brick and trendy music, and the clothes aren't bad either. Cult stocks brands like Fenchurch and Bench that we've all heard of but won't necessarily be able to find. Along side this, it houses a massive selection of boys and girls Superdry, perhaps one of the biggest collection outside of the London Superdry boutiques.

Paul Frank, Motel and the like can also be found, and there are usually at least two Sale rails in store that are definately worth a browse for bargains.

Also find skate shoes, skinny pumps, belts, leg warmers, shades and other street fashion accessories here.

You'll wonder where this place ends as you wind around rack after rack of branded clothing. They certainly pack enough stock into this shop, you won't know where to look first.
This is the place to go if you're tired of looking like a high street clone, but you don't have the budget to go designer.
You'll discover brands you've never heard of and a few you have, but you'll be suprised at just how affordable everything is. The changing rooms aren't very spacious and could do with a revamp (this is why i've given 4 stars)... but this aside, there's little not too like about this original and unusual clothes shop.
