Nice family place and dish of the day is good. Kids menu is good too. Did not try standard dishes so will see
Food was inedible, though to be fair they offered a refund without us even asking. Plus, they think it's acceptable to announce a quiz night over the tannoy (right above our table) whilst people are eating. It was really full on a midweek evening, so clearly popular - but not my kind of pub.
Cheap and cheerful pub food and beer. Nothing fancy, your usual Wetherspoons-esque generic grub which fills a hole for the price.
Usual selection of lager with some ales which aren't keep especially well.
Service can vary between being very efficient and friendly to pretty offhand and rude depending on how busy it is.
Overall, a standard large pub selling standard food at standard prices.
We went here for a Sunday Roast, having heard reports of a big improvement.
They have a Sunday carvery, with Pork, chicken or Turkey on offer when we went. The portions were good, and it was nice to be able to help ourselves to veggies and spuds etc.
The food wasn’t really all that hot, though, and the service was a little bit chaotic, there seemed to be some confusion between the table service for the main menu and the carvery.
The beer is good and the staff efficient, but not at all chatty. Overall, just another formula pub eaterie with no genuine character or charm.
Seats are always at a premium in this place on a weekend evening. Many are left free for those eating, leaving some drinkers left to stand at the bar. As a result in can often be tricky getting around.
The Robin Hood is one of the larger pubs in the Cherry Hinton area and an ideal spot to drop off your car if you’re planning a bit of a crawl.
The crowd is always locals but pretty friendly, and there are a few benches out the back for summer time.
You have loads of pubs scattered around you and sometimes it get a little difficult making the right choice of which to go. Robin Hood & Little John is one of my favourite pubs for many reasons; one of them is not because of the name however much I like Robin Hood movie. I like going to Robin Hood & Little John because it caters for everyone’s need i.e. from family outing to friends’ night out. If you have been to Cambridge, then you will know that parking is a big problem for drivers, they large car park, which settles that problem for customers.
They also have a nice patio where you can have your drink in cool summer evenings. I have not tasted their beer, as I do not drink beer but they have good wine. The food is not exceptionally great, but it does fill a hungry stomach for a few pounds. If you are looking for a good traditional Sunday roast, the pub provides one at a price of £7.95 for adults and £4.45 for small potion.
The welcoming atmosphere makes it unique and a place to relax while having a drink. Mind you it is not all peace and quiet, you do get some very noisy days especially during karaoke nights. It is a great place for family outing and having parties as they have a good space for parties and events.
