Black Horse Inn

I went to the Black Horse this lunchtime for one of their specials, Excellent homemade food with bubbly staff to match. Nothing was too much trouble.

went for a lunchtime meal and majority of the food was lovely. however i had a burger which was clearly undercooked red throughout. not being the complaining type just left it and ate everything else. when the waitress came and collected the plates we mentioned about the burger and we got in reply “ok”. didnt even get an apology and that is the only reason i am writing this as courtesy costs nothing and will now not be going back

Nice homely pub with an ok menu for selection. The food is freshly cooked and certainly fills any appetite and reasonable priced.

This pub is the quintessential english pub. Cosy and friendly (the staff and owner are superb)serving a fine selection of freshly cooked meals. No microwaved rubbish here, everything is freshly made and you can tell! The menu is complimented by a specials board that is very seasonal and adds an extra dimension for the regular customer. A good selection of beers finish off what I consider a gem of a pub.
