Have tried the forum 3 times to give benefit of doubt but no more, so unbelievably hot in there,  nearly passed out last time so missed end of gig, also fed up with watching people being manhandled out. Find it hard to believe that some of their security personnel are actually qualified. Shame as they do get some good bands but not a venue I personally am giving the time of day anymore.

Largish venue north of Camden, in Kentish Town (worth taking the tube up there), it lacked atmosphere to me, a large open room, pretty good for seeing bands, but just didn't seen particularly interesting.

Good sound in the venue, and nice and easy to see the bands playing, as others are saying its a medium venue, where bands that can't quite do arena tours usually end up.

Not my favourite gig venue, largely because it is far away from me! Its smaller than Brixton Academy, closer to Astoria size, I must say I found the overall sound quality to be more distorted in this venue than some of its counterparts. A smaller standing area means being closer to the performers and the seating area is actually pretty comfy. The bands who play here are of international quality but not quite stadium fillers, lots of good stuff to see still. On sundays it becomes the 'Church', which is a greaty experience but not for the faint of heart, its gets pretty wild! If you like lots of beer on a Sunday morning mixed with some strippers and a meatloaf impersonator then head on down!

I saw a Coheed & Cambria gig here in June and my experience of the place was very good. The venue looks a little dark and dull inside, but it's a nice medium-sized venue with a generous stage (much like the now non-existant Astoria). I had heard prior to my visit that the acoustics were bad, but the whole show sounded absolutely ace to me. A perfect venue for a slightly smaller yet not quite intimate show.

I was there for the first time last week, to see Passion Pit for the second time. I'd seen them at Koko, and this time it was a completely different experience.
For example, I actually got to see the band other that hearing them, which is quite an achievement for a 5'2" girl.
The Forum hasn't got as much personality as, say, Brixton Academy but it's definitely a quality venue (and the ladies' is large enough to avoid long queues).

Overpriced cloackroom at £2 per item, not per hanger.

Can’t believe I’ve lived in london for a decade now and only just managed to get to the Forum in the past few weeks.

I went to see the Friendly Fires there and was really impressed by the venue. We were in the seated area upstairs (getting old you know) and the sound was spot on.

The bars were overpriced and understaffed - but that’s very music venue I”ve ever been to, so can’t really knock stars off for that.

The forum is a music venue sitauted in Camden. They hold mainly live gigs there. Every year they also hold Rebellion Festival in the leg in London when punk bands play there. The music you get there is a mixutre between punk, goth, emo and alternative. They are always busy usually with stuff going on every night. The drinks are quite cheap and the staff are lovely. Great place to go to and its good if there is a gig on and you haven’t pre ordered tickets because you can go there on the night, sort of like in the theatre and get tickets.

Legendary live music venue in Kentish Town. Top security. They ran out of wine by 9pm though on a Saturday night which was a little depressing! Saw Dizzee Rascal here which was an amazing gig. And the venue is great. Set on a few levels so that even the shorter among us can see the stage clearly - and gives you the choice of going in the mosh pit or having a bit more room to dance further back. Even though the gig was sold out the room wasn’t too crammed which was a relief.

The Forum is a short walk from the Kentish Town Tube Station on the Northern Line. It’s a medium sized venue, (though not as large as the Brixton Academy) which lends itself as a good place to see bands. There is a balcony with seating (surprisingly decent) and a great view of the stage. The main floor has a few levels, so standing downstairs still allows you an OK view of the stage.

I’ve seen a variety of bands there (most recent was Blue Oyster Cult) and it’s been consistently decent with sound quality and lighting. I prefer this venue to some of the other London venues due to location and size.

I am always happy to go there for a concert.

The Forum is about four hundred metres north of Kentish Town Tube Station and is a converted theatre. I would say it is a medium size venue making it a good place to view acts, although it could probably do with modernisation in the near future as it looks a little run down.

If you are looking for a few places to go for a drink before a gig there area couple of pubs near Kentish Town station, or you could head a little further away by going to Chalk Farm or Camden.

I had the pleasure of attending a babyshambles gig three or for months ago? I actually won the tickets through xfm and so, me and a mate had a few stellas in Camden and headed straight into the forum. There was no need to queue up and so we headed straight to the upstairs area and more importantly the bar… Couple more beers and we were good to go for the main event. Went down when babyshambles were about to come on and headed to the front for the first song… MENTAL mosh pit. We ended at the edge of the mosh dripping in sweat.
Pete performed a duet with Shane McGowan - dirty old town, which was quality performace.
There was actually a bit of trouble on the stage, well not trouble, a fan jumped on the stage and hugged Pete - he was thrown out. The next day, it was in some papers that it had kicked off - NOT TRUE.
Doherty is a quality act and I wish him every success with the band and in getting his life back together!!!

The Forum, a short walk north of Kentish Town tube station, operates in the same sort of realm as the Hammersmith Apollo and the Brixton Academy, though it is somewhat smaller than either of those. It's a great hall for seeing a gig: there are a couple of levels of floor standing, and seats upstairs in the circle (separate tickets).

It's got standard long bars on either side with standard overpriced lager. Toilets, at the back, have annoying attendants.

It's not as fancy inside as the Apollo, but is still nice to look at.

I've seen acts like Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Flaming Lips, Spiritualized, Nick Cave's garage band Grinderman, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Ministry here.

The Forum stands third place of North London's great gig venues after Koko and the Roundhouse.
Just 3 minutes walk from Kentish Town station, the place offers a great programme of live music from the Lemonheads to Peter Bjorn and John.
The venue is spacious and welcoming and the smoking ban makes it even more pleasurable (I'm speaking as a smoker myself, but sometimes the truth needs to be spoken out).
Big big no no though: these guys stop serving draught from 8.30pm and you're left with the ridiculously portioned cans of Grolsh or Strongbow. The lovely staff will try to comfort you by pointing out that eventually cans come up cheaper than pints... No really? We wonder why...
