A very nice park, smaller than Hyde Park, which makes it easier to find your friends. It is very welcoming as well and I hear the theatre is really worth giving it a try.
Also worth trying, the ice creams near the kids playground, they are yummy!
What I really like was the fountains, really useful when it gets hot and you want to refresh (beware of the water battle).
All together, it was a very nice day in the green, perfect place to have fun and enjoy a nice picnic!
PS: do not do like me and get confused between the private gardens next door and the park… I stayed stuck quite a long time given I didn’t have the keys to get out!!!

An amazing place to be on a lovely summer’s day. There’s London Zoo, an open air theatre, the lakes, the boat house, ducks to be fed…or just sit amongst the flowers and soak up the sun and the relaxing atmosphere away from the normal hustle and bustle of busy London life.

Lose yourself in this peaceful greenery in the heart of London where you can escape from the noise of the traffic. It covers a fairly large area and is enclosed within a circular road, so hopefully you can’t get lost. There are lots of facilities including tennis courts, London Zoo, a beautful lake and in the summer an open air theatre. The gardners deserve a mention as the park is kept in an immaculate condition with every choice of flower you can think of, dotted with water features everywhere. The Rose Garden is also pretty special. When you’re done wandering around the park, visit one of the cafes for refreshments.

London Zoo is based in the very central London, 5 mins from the Madame Tausseaud's on Baker Street. In the heart of Regent's park it is very convenient and easily accessible. The tickets are overly expensive, i think we paid for two something around £36!! The zoo itself is quite small, however the butterfly pavillion is unique as you can walk through it and butterflies are all around you and also the little bit where the spider monkeys are running around you is wonderful, they are very cute and funny creatures and its lovely to see them without any cage inbetween or so.

Situated just outside central London, Regent’s Park is a great place to take your parents or go for a Sunday stroll. The atmosphere is totally different to the other large London parks, it has a younger and more touristy feel. The main physical differences are that London Zoo is located on the north side and just next to this are large football fields which are always full of players on a Sunday. There are also wonderful floral displays so the best time to go is early summer when all the blooms are out.

Regents park is not my most favourite London park- which is Hyde Park by a long shot. However I think Regents Park wins on the duck front everytime. As a full grown adult I was mesmerised by the wide variety of ducks- some with mohawks and pink beaks, others that looked like mini flaoting zebras and your average (but not to be underated) Mallard. If you were a small child you would absolutely love it. The Marylebone side of the Park is defintely my favourite (that's where the ducks are) but venture across the park towards London Zoo on a Sunday and you'll be greeted by an amazing variety of sporting activities. It was great to see a 'Sunday League' in full flow. One of the other great thing about Regents Park is that if you fancy a really long stroll there are lots of ways to extend your walk- up into Primrose Hill is probably my favourite.

Regents Park in Central London is perhaps London's second most picturesque 'major parks' after St. James' and Hyde Park.
Located just north of Regents Park underground and off Euston Road, the park stretches out into northwest London so you can cross the beautiful greenery and get to secluded St. Johns Wood on the other side.
It has a large beautiful lake with swans and geese, lots of trees and overall quite peaceful. The Islamic Mosque is at one end of the park while the other has football playing fields and the zoo!
Recommended for the Frieze arts festival which takes place every October inside a pavillion in the park.
Also, for romantic picnic's or quiet walks.

Regents Park is an easy place to get lost. It’s divided into lots of separate bits by hedges and unexpected roads. There are open areas, including a huge sweep of grass with natural bits in the North. But much of it is manicured, in some places rather imaginatively, and always beautifully. To me it has a sort of Alice in Wonderland poshness. I can easily picture some living playing cards painting the roses because they are the wrong colour, while a giant white rabbit disappears round a bend. One fly needing ointment: on one visit I did get nastily and painfully bitten by something resembling a small housefly. Maybe something that normally fed on the animals in the adjoining zoo? Anyway, if you are visiting in the evening in the warmer months you may wish to apply a fly repellent or keep your skin fully covered.

And oh yes, I have (as I usually do in parks) been running there. Nice place to run, though not for a quick one. Too many distractions and opportunities to get lost I find!

Everyone has a favourite London park, and Regents Park is mine. I think because when I first moved to London I lived in Camden, and was always broke so to while away my time I would take walks to Primrose Hill or more often, Regents Park. My favourite part is the lake, which is small in comparison to giants such as Hyde Park, but its cute, the birds flurry round the tourists, and on a lazy summer day it's fun to take a boat out (and almost capsize). Add to that the fun little events that they hold here, there's no Hyde Park giant screened off stadium style concerts, they have the innocent free festival (now changed to the innocent village fete and sadly ticketed although still very cheap), summer theatre in the open theatre featuring Shakespeare, big name stand up comedians and other acts and works. This park is a huge London park that feels like it's a local park, I can spend hours here, when I'm feeling blue it’s a great place to come and dwell in your thoughts, or to people watch, or if with your man a romantic picnic or boat ride, or with friends a fun 'party picnic'.
