disagree....rude unfriendly staff.....past by this pub with my baby in a pram last week. I saw some friends outside and stopped to have a chat. The barmaid came outside repeatly told me nochildren,it was before 7, and i was outside on the public pavement, passing by.
Nothing special, but still a cozy pub to go when you and your flatmates don't want to drink in front of the tv.
Serves thai food in the evening. Nothing special too...
The Nobody is my local and alot has been done over the last few years to make it more appealling to customers. The staff are very helpful, friendly and nice and the booze range is ok. It is a big pub that is comfy, just what you want after a hard days work.
The Sunday bingo quiz is ace as is the normal quiz they have at 8 on a Thursday which is longer!
A fairly characterless little place that straddles the line between pub and bar. Pretty unremarkable inside but the staff are usually friendly and you if you're wanting a quiet night you can almost guarentee a seat...
However the best thing about the place is it hosts a pub quiz you can actually win (a far cry from the Compton Arms in Islington then). Quiz Bingo on a Sunday not only has questions people under the age of 102 can answer it also has loads of prizes on offer, so even if your memory skills are not the best you could still walk away with a box of Maltesers and your head held (fairly) high
Linus Make sure you add it to the Pub Quiz Mafia group!

28carrots I would agree with some parts but disagree with others.

I suppose it is okay as your standard down-the-road-type of pub. But the interior is a bit soulless, and there is little atmosphere. On the upside, unlike other places around Newington Green, they are not too expensive and I have had a few nice wines in there, too.
If you live in the area, it is convenient for a quick pint but not exactly the sort of place you would spend your saturday night at.
ALFRED0207 passed it during the day and it seems to live up to its name but will now give it a try after reading your review
