Excellent Greek food but the gyros is the best we ever had.
Dionysus is a must go restaurant every time we visit London.

Dionysus is a Greek restaurant located on the busy high street of Tottenham court road. We went there for lunch at about 1pm on a Monday afternoon, there were about 30 other customers. It was actually my first time of going to a proper Greek restaurant so I did not know what to expect. I was impressed at how quick the waiter came to take our order.
The restaurant is divided into two sides; one side was closer to the door and busy, we sat in the inner part of the restaurant, which had more designs and beautiful art. The dim light gave it some calmness often associated with dinner. There were plastic olive vines on the wall and Greek statutes that gave it a Mediterranean look.

They had an extensive menu mainly Mediterranean but they also have burger and seafood. Being my first time and since I was not familiar with Greek cuisine, I had to rely on my friend’s knowledge for what meal to choose. He suggested we went for the calamari rings and chips; the calamari is a lightly dusted and fried squid. At least I knew chips so I thought it would not get too bad if I ended up not liking the calamari I could have only the chips. A full plate with side salad was brought on time and I very much liked it even though I did not have it all as I got full quickly. My bulging stomach meant I could not try out the desert however much I would have loved to.

With two glasses of their white wine, the bill amounted to £21.40, which I thought was quite reasonable for a meal for two. The staffs were very polite and friendly and the experience was a pleasant one altogether. I would love to go some other time to try out their kebab and Mediterranean tapas.
