Interesting to see Carnaby Street categorised as "Menswear" since as a female frequenter of this area i would never describe it as such. Carnaby Street boasts a long history of Fashion. pubs, shoes and fashion for all and is an essential haunt for most mod lovers and fashion concious punters.

Carnaby Street has to be one of the coolest streets in London. As you enter Carnaby Street, you will see a big sign across the street with the name across it. Situated close to Oxford Street and Regent Street, it is set in one of the busiest parts of London.
You can see eople of all colours, genders and ages...
The shops are amazing! You will find bars down here as well to have a relaxing drink. You could easily spend hours down here just looking through all the shops. It's a very trendy street.
A must go!!!

One of the most original shopping streets in London. If you love creativity types, crazy shop windows and cook-kids rule, then go and visit. Can be quite pricey though.

This is a relatively broad paved shopping street completely closed to car traffic. With its calm pace and not a slightest glimpse of overcrowding, it indeed offers a brilliant contrast to the nearby Oxford and Regent streets.

The unique atmosphere this area generates resembles the high streets of smaller regional English towns, much simpler and more relaxed than the central London’s haphazard and fast-paced life.

There are some good, mainly casual shops, like Hilfiger, Boss Orange, Diesel, etc and a large Boots pharmacy. Some decent options for a meal or drinks are available too.

What a nice change! Carnaby Street is exactly the opposite to Oxford Street/ Regents Street, which are just a little to busy for my liking. Brilliant shops and bars in the area.
Check out www.e-cityvisit.com for a Virtual Walkthrough of the area....You can even virtually walk into some of the shops and bars.

If you want a really interesting shopping experience, with lots of choice (think footwear and clothing) and very very close to the centre of town, then head to Carnaby Street. It is a small intimate shopping space and comesto life at Christmas when they always have an unusual take on christmas decorations - one year, think of thousands of CD’s in the air which was quite unique. At the top of Carnaby Street (northern end) you’ll find a number of eateries which have outdoor seating. To the south, you’r heading towards soho and have lots of choises available. Well recommended street if you want to get off the beaten track for a touch of shopping.

Carnaby street is a great little place. It is a separate area away from the hustle and bustle of regent street. It really makes a difference from all the big shops and you wouldnt really think where you were in london. Its a nice litte escape with some really uber trendy clothes shops and boutiques. Theres also some cool coffee bars. A lot of trendy people hang around there and it is a really quirky environment just a stones throw from all the major stores that oxford/regent street is used to. If you want something different, quirky and trendy in London this is definitely the place to be.

Carnaby Street is a lovely little paved shopping street with alleys turning of to more shops here and there, great for looking for more individual or stylish clothes.

Great range of shops especially the ones catered to just t-shirts and trainers! Great for people who don't follow the crowd.

2 mins walk from Oxford street tube make it very central with easy access, or if you wanna get away from the main high street and chill out with a coffee this is a nice spot to do so!

Carnaby Street is a pedestrian street near Oxford Circus. It's very quiet and peaceful there (I maybe have this impression because of Oxford Street nearby).

It's very relaxing there.

There are bars and cafés, small brand and designer shops.

The first time I went there was because I wanted to buy some stuff at the Puma store. The second time was to meet friends at the café Sacred on Ganton Street (off Carnaby Street). I loved it straight away! No car, good atmosphere! Just great!
